Don't know whats their thinking right now but they do seem to become part of CHINESE OBOR initiative....Gwadar is one among many projects/port......

Russia would like to use India's reach (supposedly) in US to stress on points of it's interest.
China would continue selling military hardwares to pakistan...but soon India will play the same game via Vietnam to China...and pakistan may loose the patronage of China too , unless pakistan stands on it's 2 feet.

Forget Gwadar, Balochistan had some good natural resources. Are they still relavent or taken by Chinese?
U are willing to give Balochistan to Russians, but we too are interested in them now.

Given current geopolitics, anything can happen. Gwadar is going to get operational in year or two....Russians can't ignore their long held back dream...China will invite Russians in. I m sure given how closely cooperating with each other. Pakistan and China will make sure entire CARs, Arabs, Russia and Turkey use CPEC...

Why Russians will rely heavily on NTSC ( A ZIGZAG MADNESS ) when they can easily come down straight to Arabian sea through China, Pakistan......

No use copy pasting several articles and news items which clearly establish cozying up of relations with Russia and Pakistan and the already cemented bond between China and Pakistan. What I'd like the members to indulge in, is a discussion which involves implications:

a) for each of the three countries which are part of the axis - of being part of such an axis/alliance;

b) for US;

c) for India;

d) and the potential of Iran or potential of Turkey, becoming part of this axis.

To be a part of axis implies common interests. Other than wishful thinking there is no commonality here. Russia-China have dealings. China-Pakistan have their relationship. Pakistan and Russia relationship is a weak one.

Does it mean that Pakistan has a real opinion on Russian disputes with Ukraine, Poland, Baltics ? In spite of friendship with Russia India has no real opinions.

Russia will shift its arm sale from India to Pakistan, Turkey, Syria, Iran. Soon new Block will be visible for the world. Even gulf countries are trying to buy arms from China and Russia.

Russia is still one of the biggest defense partner,constructing nuclear power plants and also works with india on oil exploration even improved relationship with US.Their interest also present in diamond industry.India is a big market for russia.

Every thing in pakistan is dictated by china no matter what, from construction of bridge to missiles.This over dependent on one country that too a small market compared to india, gives russia not much space in pakistan.Since russia already under isolation in western world and maintaining a good relationship with india is very important for them.Putin never ever visited pakistan even pakistan welcomed him on many occassions.

Pakistan does not have political,economical and militarily to counter weight india.Russia and pakistan may have some cordial relationship, but neither india nor russia wants it relationship to be affected by aligning with US or pakistan respectively.Russia and India is big to be on any ones camp.
