The Rise of Nanny state : Sibal brings out rules to track every mobile user

.
so whats the fuss? People need to seriously rethink there priorities.

I think its good step to patch up the loopholes and vulnerabilities in the Indian National security.

People may not agree with this on the surface of things ...
But one should ask how is it harmful?

WHERE IS MY DAUGHTER?

She is in a car.. parked under a bridge.. would you like us to open the audio??

As long as such capabilities are regulated.

the govt is justified in doing what ever it need to ensure our safety as a nation . if it means infringing on some of my personal right so be it .
after all there are a lot of people who blame the government ever time there is a terrorist attack . why ask them to fight it with one hand tied behind their back? let them have all they need.

i doubt the govt will find me attending a coffee shop interesting.:)
There should be authorization in case by case basis by a fixed level person(say a DSP) who can order such tracking.
If you try to track each and everybody, you will generate so much data, that the criminals will remain free, where as our privacy will be violated on daily basis.

After every security initiative in India there is a massive outcry by liberals and ignorant laymen, gladly most eventually do get implemented but after much fuss and delays.I'm glad the GoI has, somewhat, woken up to the security challenge in India but there are too many idiots who mask ignorance with "liberalism" but are the first to attack GoI after any attacks and cry harder and louder than the rest. But hey, that's democracy- if it were easy everyone would do it!!
