In college I got exposed to Peanut Butter Captain Crunch...can be addicting

It's not something I partake in very often. I happen to enjoy it.

I also prefer Lucky Charms to Frankenberry

As kids my brother would eat the Count Chocula while I ate the FrankenBerry

Yes, we would have the chocolate alot during wintertime. I'll give it a thumbs up.
OMG the strawberry one tasted terrible.

Do you remember instant Orange Tang?

hmm..Tang still seems to be around...not sure why..it tastes like chemicals.
You'd get about 3/4 of the way through the jar and it would start to get horribly crusty. ack!

How about Ovaltine?

Wasn't a fan of it. It would cake up too halfway down the jar.

I like the easily spreadable Nutella but that is originally not from the US.

Ovaltine was a staple in Bangladesh and Pakistan starting and all through the seventies and the eighties, went on for generations, even today.

I'd take a single large spoonful and dry-munch on it, forget the milk - ditto for Horlicks (English made only) for a mixed in warm milk nightcap.

Later the Indians started making it in India and exporting it to Bangladesh, did not care for Indian Horlicks at all, or the copy (Complan).

Actually it was the strawberry one we got initially and it grew on me. To each their own. Chocolate was better no doubt, but when you get any kind of snacks and you don’t want to only eat roti day and night, cause your working class, your gratefully for the strawberry quick, (which can taste like medicine, when you get down to the crusty bottom), and was something to look forward to.
