The Reality of US Aid to Pakistan

I have said this in an another thread but i will repeat it here:


"These Americans and Brits say that they gave us aid. I want to make something clear here:

We did not receive aid.

The money they gave us was for the bloody supplies we transport to them in Afghanistan.

Also these people forgot the fact that there are still NATO soldiers in Pakistan. That being said, they have been enjoying themselves. The money is brought into the country for them not for us.

Musharraf had a deal with them. The more men we give the more money we get. Its says in his book. Deal is a Deal and this is not an aid.

Last but not least, we purchased F-16s from them during 1980s-1990s. Rather than having them delivered to us, they were embargoed in Arizona without even returning our firkin money. So lets say even if they did give us the billion dollars, it makes perfect sense for that cause of reason...

Our army even said that this so called 'aid' makes no difference. For a sake of analysis here, there is no such thing as aid in Pakistan and also it really means that it has no effect on us for war on terror."

FM says Pakistan requires respect not aid

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar said Tuesday that Pakistan required respect and not aid, Geo News reported.

“Nothing is more important than respect and pride.”

Khar said the government and people of Pakistan would not tolerate an act such as the Nato attack in the future.

The Foreign Minister said that future relations with the US were under consideration adding that Pakistan’s cooperation should not be considered a weakness.

Khar also said the decision to stop Nato supplies was being implemented.

Imran Khan has rightly said in 2004,05, we are fighting war for USA, this is never our war. Now result is in front of You, USA is saying this is aid, while our 35000 soldiers, civilians sacrificed for USA war which turned to Pakistan war as well. Our economy has also sacrificed for USA. We lost 60 billion Dollar for 18 billion dollar. Pakistan also gave air bases to USA, specially Shamsi airbase for drones.This is also service. not aid. Weapons and night goggles were used for USA war. This is also service, not aid.

As said the original sin lies still with some institutions which thought that a proxy war or extremism can be a cheap and effective weapon against a country, Afghanistan. The state would have been different now but bygones are bygones... lets hope now the things are taken up properly.
