Some of us have forgotten too fast, and it is a pretty big and alarming question honestly, its been over 24 hours!

Where is Abhinandan, apart from on social media. There has been no statement by him after reaching India, no interview, no live coverage of him by Media, no video release. It begs a lot of questions, where is he and why hasn't he come out yet?

Wouldn't it be absolutely beneficial for the Indian narrative if he were to release the statement admitting what the media and the IAF have tried to propagate, as well as clarifying his stance on his statements in Pakistan.

So, it really begs this alarming question, where is he... and why he hasn't come out yet?

Chief Guest at 'Rashter Patti Bhavan'.

I have this feeling that if he was to agree to accepting that he shot down the F-16 and that he was tortured, the IAF would have immediately put up a press conference and brought in him for statement, because the whole nation's eyes were on him, whatever he would have said would've been taken as the absolute truth by their people hailing him as a hero.

But he hasn't come out yet, I have some doubts, its been 24 hours, I was expecting something by today.

Tell me what does Abhinandan conjure? Miserable defeat or victory? Would you want his face which represents defeat and humiliation of India from riding on Indian media? No.

Unless Abhinanadan starts talking bad about Pakistan. I assume he has not so he has been muffed.

In Indian "threat cell" .
Upon release, he will say like : I was tortured in Pakistan and.....

He was forced to retire

Without any statement or media interview? Don't they want to know if he changes his statement or not?

Exactly. I feel like he would've been in a press conference by today at least, not only claiming and confirming the Indian narrative but also changing his statements; the whole India would believe him because all their eyes were on him, he was their hero. But he hasn't, something makes me feel that he might be refusing to do so, which is why we have heard nothing of him, his health or anything since he got on Indian soil except for the usual 'Welcome Home' and 'Our Hero' tweets.

May be your assessment is going to be right.
IMO after the medical examination, he will spent some days and nights with agencies as 'guest' to monitor him from their POV.

If we have not heard of him by next day or two then for sure we can conclude that he lived to what he said - I won't chane my thoughts in India.

This also sets another idea in my mind, what if Pakistan has more footage and more confessions than what was released in the very case of any such claims by him.

they are making a fool out of their own nation and a respected Pilot by portraying him to be a hero , he was shot down and captured by enemy it was humiliating for any decorated pilot .. Stop making that poor Abhinandan feel bad about himself .

Didnt you see that press conference by their military? They clearly have no idea what theyre doing.

If I had to guess though, I think he's still being debriefed on everything he saw and heard

He will either turn into a typical indian rat by bad mouthing Pakistan or be muted by the authorities because he is a humble individual and wanted to speak positively about his experience as captive and use it to promote harmony.

Not about whether or not they consider him to be a hero, but more about speculation that why he hasn't come out yet because they consider him to be their hero, and any narrative confirmation and stance by him would be accepted as the absolute truth by Indians; that is the point of my thread, speculation on why he hasn't come out yet although his words in favor of Indian narrative would do Indian narrative a lot, a lot, a lot of good in in the public as well as politically.

Did, they really had the down and stale faces clearly on.

Probably will stay away from media as part of the deal that led to his release.

Alternatively, there could be other reasons:

1) IAF still hopes to recover the second pilot without admitting their MKI/M2K was downed and know they could only hope to get him if they play ball.

2) Chaiwala told IAF that he made certain confessions or statements to PA on camera, and they are worried that if he is brought in front of media now then ISPR would release those videos and show him to be a coward and traitor (may he also why he has been forcibly retired).

3) the black box of the wreaked Bison and possibly some onboard camera will likely disprove any further false claims that the Indians make and they dont want to risk further embarrassment.

Either case, chaiwala has been a source of great entertainment for us Pakistanis and I look forward to watching him in tea or beard oil commercials
