The Question of "Shia Genocide" in Pakistan.

I have collected a database of all terrorism incidents against or suspected against Shia of Pakistan. The database has been meticulously collected while sifting through news reports of the last 17 years. We counted about 1850 Deaths over 17 years.
There is a certain margine of error.
Note that many incidents also had victims from non shia communities, but we added in the list as many victims were shia, such as Parachinar Market bombings which has been a regular incident over the years.
If we do the maths and add the numbers. The question is, does this look like "Shia Genocide"?


P.S. It took us a few days to varify and Re-Varify news reports and build this post. Please don't pollute the comment section with sectarianism. Discuss with reasoning.

27 January 2007 : 13 Shia Killed in Mosque bombing in Peshawar.

About 2,000 Hazara Shias have been killed in the city of Quetta alone, 4,000 have been injured, and 200,000 have attempted to flee the country ... If it isn't "Genocide", what is ?

Well, even a single lost life is a big tragedy but if you compare this with the total number of people lost during the same period, you will find that it forms quite a small number...much less than 20% (i.e. the percentage of shia in Pakistani Muslim majority) of the total number of people killed in the terror attacks. Thus it can't be called a genocide at all so let's not spark a sectarian war.

They are being routed out. They have been pushed out and suspected activities are being closely monitored.

Its just that there are some problems with the implementation of all the relevant laws since some heavy political elite play each other out for the sake of power.

Both the sectarian need the hate for their business to flow.

No wonder after that drone fell down we had to deal with parachinar attack. Just to keep everyone interested.

But who listens to sane people these days.

They will be coerced one way or the another into this and we will have another fiasco to care about.

Although I might be inclined to agree with the direction of your argument, I feel that I cannot agree with the comparison. Although factually speaking your point does hold validity, the number of people killed in traffic accidents is indeed higher, but comparing that with the deliberate and malicious targeted attacks towards a particular community does come off as a bit tone deaf.
