Owning a mobile phone doesn't mean people are rich, mobile phone isn't a luxuries item nowadays!

A mobile phone costs 1k upwards .

Making a typical staple food i.e. Chapatis ,daal and rice costs 8-10 rupees per person . My tiffin food costs 30 rupees which even has a vegetable .

It's safe for assumption .
But the blogger has undes exagerrated the nos. according to me

I'd say that such people CHOOSE TO REMAIN BEGGARS and nothing you do will ever make them stop begging. NOTHING. PERIOD.

They are beggars by choice not by compulsion.

you wont believe but one beggar who used to beg in mumbai used to save money and then he bought flat in remote suburb

His point about electricity and phones seems to be true

Isn't there any government programs to discourage begging ? We had a same issue few years ago, I personally believe educating the people is the most important thing to get rid of these kind of matters.

My driver earns 6k per month ($130 per month , $4.33 per month) but his family is registered as Below poverty line .

He gets food at cheap rates and he owns Nokia 5800 XM mobile ($250 phone) .

Can you do the same for China? Chinese PCI is like 3 times that of India.. How much does that translate into real earning for an average person?
