The other side of pakistan

Some pictures I took myself...

This is pretty close to Lyari expressway... That onramp at the back leads to it infact.

What irks me is that Pakistani developers are doing a half assed job. There's no finishing touch. While they are building good things in Karachi such crummy buildings are smack on the main roads of Karachi. The roads are nice but when you look left and right everything looks horrible.

Theres no vision, Pakistanis are so happy with all this development. They adore Mustafa Kemal. I think hes done a fine job when you compare him to the predecessors, but still you can't let him off easy when theres so much to do.

. .
That india thread was stupid imo it was made for the sole purpose of flamebaiting the indian members and provoke them into posting anti-pakistan content so they could be banned .Yes these pics in both india and pakistan are sadly the reality but I think theres no need for such things we all know theres alot of poverty in south asia gloating about it serves no purpose showing how bad one country is doesn't make the other country look better.
People just need to chill out.

.
What always disturbs me is the pollution on the streets like above. In Honk Kong I've seen people arrested for littering. Maybe with a useful and strong government, proper sanitation services can be introduced in all areas not just the swanky parts. Just because you are poor doesn't mean you have to treat your land like garbage.

.
Why should an Indian go out and try showing Pakistan its sides

It is for Pakistan to measure its sides, angles, radius and circumference to figure out the correct solution

As far as I am concerned, the less Pakistan talks about these issues and the less awareness it creates, the better it is for India

A pointless thread

Reporting for closure

I understand the feelings of people around here, and I respect all citizens of any nation. My sole purpose of starting the thread was to let some other posters know that, they cannot compare some other place with hell, when you yourself are not living in heaven.

Thanks Mods for banning the culprits.

ME TOO REPORTING FOR THE CLOUSRE OF THIS THREAD.

Why did you feel hurt when a Pakistani said, whatever it is that they say?

Does our country's export go down when they mock the compassion shown by an Indian woman towards an orphaned monkey?

Does foreign investment in India go down when they try to mock India by post images from Khajurao temples depicting the sexual union to two individuals, without their judgement being clouded by their own perversions

Do Indians who ascend to the top positions in multi-national conglomerate recieve a demotion because the world watches Pakistanis derieve great humor in posting images of the economically challenged citizens of India.

Far more qualified and credible individuals than the ones whose posts you took offence to know and acknowledge India's commitment to poverty alleviation

Do realise that when a person has to take refuge of other's miseries for the upliftment of his/her own spirits, it alone is an indicator of the far greater severity of miseries he himself is going through

India's challenges act as morphine for Pakistan's miseries

As the team has explained the closure of such threads are against the tenets of freedom of expression. Everyone has certain rights accorded to them by the management of this forum. As long as you do it with civility. The member was not banned because he started that thread, it was because he lost all norms of civility while he was at it.

As a policy this forum is nationality blind when it comes to the members. Once you spend enough time here you will learn that we work under certain parameters of civility and on topic, interesting debates.

Besides we're grown adults, and I believe our world doesn't come shattering down by some unflattering pictures about our home country. We haven't closed the threads just to knock some some maturity into a lot of people. Learn to behave, discuss and be generally nice human beings without moderators intervening. True growth.

Nice post except the last one which might be objectionable.

But the last line is a gem in rhetorical terms.

Morphine is a medically approved painkiller in common usage all over the world. Hardly a cause for objection IMO :)

I know the "other side" of Pakistan all too well.
It's such a shame, it doesn't have to be this way at all.
If only ALL Pakistanis would put their hearts into their efforts for Pakistan, our nation would be a better place for all.
The harsh reality these days is that due to certain issues inside our own country, our "good side" is often left out, or hidden in very dark clouds because the negativity is simply too much and too real.
I have hope that in time, our issues will be resolved, we have a MashAllah beautiful country and we should be proud of it, and anyone or anything that tends to destroy it or ruin it must be dealt with accordingly.
The Pakistani people are peaceloving and friendly of nature, and I believe that this hospitality, this friendly feeling in all Pakistanis will be the source of our successes in Pakistan.
