@Cheetah786

Till now the only successfully accomplished work is the K-15 and everything else mentioned in the article will take more than 5-6 years or more to become operational. The article is a bit to early in making predictions.

And everybody knows the pace of DRDO so there is nothing much to discuss in the article. As K-15 is more like a technology demonstrator and is of little value due to its small range.

The author is reading overestimating the reality and our capabilities.

Eric Margolis also believes USA was behind 9/11. (Somtimes he says it was Mossad who did it; you can't expect consistency from conspiracy theorists.) He travelled with the taliban mmujahideen during the soviet-afghan war. Supports Hamas, denounces Israel all the time. All in all, a loveable and brilliant person from a pakistani POV.

Well, opinion is free. If this person believes that India's nukes are a cause for worry, he has every right to say so. But we should remember that a few people's personal opinions don't matter that much. All said and done, it is not India's nukes falling into extremists' hands that the world is worried about. India's "No first use policy" is set in stone. India's non proliferation record speaks for itself - it's not India that has sold nuclear secrets and knowhow to dubious regimes like Libya and N Korea. It is not India's top nuclear scientist who proliferated weapons for personal enrichment.

So this author's opinion is just that; his opinion. Of course it would be music to the ears of pakistanis, just like his other statements about CIA orchestating 9/11 (or Mossad, depending on the day) will also be music to their ears. So it is no wonder that some of them will dig up opinion pieces like this and start a thread.

But as long as world opinion is not too bothered about a responsible, stable democracy like India having nukes, we don't really have to give a cent to this dude's opinions.

Idiocy doesn't come alone but i guess in your case it helps....now where does Pakistan comes into this topic....in any case better to eat Roti than your daily diet.

Indian officials tell poor people to start eating rats: 'The beauty is we have billions of them' | Mail Online
That surprised the master who drags in India in every Pak bashing thread.

Since you are talking about food habits I would prefer rat rather than digging graves and eating corpse.

Pakistan: Man eating dead bodies

Well thanks for pointing out the obvious Eric! Why "should" the world be watching "new boy India" over Pakistan, Iran and N.Korea? India is a responsible democratic nuclear power who cannot be equated to the likes of Pakistan or N.Korea so what is the point in this article? I know the Americans love to get riled up by their fear-mongering media but is this guy really trying to now present INDIA as a nuclear threat to the US?!!

India has a declared no-first use policy, if you don't have any intent of attacking India with a nuclear bomb then you have nothing to fear from India, END OF STORY.

The pdf veteran and the serial hate monger guy approves the article, which says about our capabilities.

Why should we complain??:what:

Well whats wrong if some section in US thinks that India should be watched for its nuclear ambitions. Over last 60 odd years since India began pursuing its nuclear program (both Civilian and military), one big achievement has been near perfect non proliferation record. After Pokhran 1, US tried almost all tricks on the book to stop the N program and the most its can claim to achieve is slowing down of Civilian N program.
When Bush came calling and agreed for a Historic 123 Agreement, it almost coincided to the fact that embargoes couldn't yield much of results. Massive Bi-partisan support the draft agreement got in US congress is a testimony.
India has its own valid reasons to not sign CTBT and NPT and to be fair it has been a much more honest state as far as spirit of non proliferation is concerned even when compared to some of the treaty signatories.
But let us be fair, US knows India is never going to attack any of US interests and considering the foreign policy we've had, even if it develops 10,000 km ICBM, its more of a deterrent. They may keep watch on India and its intentions, but if past is anything to go by, they are simply wasting their time and resources.
