according to Newsweek magazine - Lt-Gen, Ishfaq Kiyani, a westernised, chain-smoking career officer who is also the head of the sophisticated ISI and a musharraf loyalist is tipped to be the new CoAS.

It is obivious that Musharaf will have some one in the army who has loyality towards him. Even when he takes his unifrom off, he will not let go his influence over the army just vanish.

BBC confirms that Gen Ishfaq Pervez Kiyani appointed as VCoAS to take over from Gen Musharraf when he decides to resign from the Army by 15th Nov (as long as he is elected president)
