Do you mean the Jing/Gin? Actually they are Viets and were emigrated from Vietnam to China in the early 16th century.

And no, Vietnamese do not admire the Chinese complexity, the older generation does not care and the newer, plastic generation are all for Western Complexion. There are more vietnamese want to look (Including the face) like a westerner more than there are who want to look like Chinese.

We have even fairer complexion than many Westerners. Our facial structure is perfect. Why do we need to look like them. Western man run after our girls, but very few Vietnamese man want to date Western girls, that is a fact. Recently, a good-looking Australian white girl even complain on our media that after several years living in Hanoi, she can not find a Vietnamese man who want to date her. Your opinion is just another Westerner's wishful thinking.

The young generation is now much more interested in North East Asian culture than our generation and much less on Western culture. You can see it in games, movies, music, ...

dude, i did not say all vietnamese, i said the plastic generation, mean vietnamese who had "Plastic Surgery" i happen to have a relative is a plastic surgeon in Vietnam, and almost all vietnamese client (Apart form burn victim and facial disfigurement) want to have their face fixed like westerner.

I don't just mean girls, guy too, thicker jaw bone, bigger nose, wider mouth and rounder eyes. These are the popular plastic surgery procedure in Vietnam, if you don't trust me, go ask a plastic surgeon yourselve.

People from Guangdong,Guangxi,Yunnan,Fujian..those southernmost Chinese provinces do have southeastern Asian facial traits,and people from Northeast China,a big region bordering Siberia,look very very different from their southern cousins,China is a vast country,all other Eastern Asian countries are just like a province in size and population.
