The mystery of the "Bandpass Radome"

.
I'll buy it if it is under 200 dollars :D. Probably would take up the whole room though.

the description says its 6 foot long and the seller is selling it for 1300 dollars.
can be bought to find out what materials are used.

. . . .
Looks like it is made from fiberglass... did they say if it were from the original plane or not?

This is what the seller says in the description..

Jet nose cone

about 6 feet tall

Well we are not sure what this we believe it is the nose cone for a F-22 fighter jet. This would be a great gift for the guy in your life that has everything well except a fighter jet part. this unit is arond 6 foot tall.

Thank you for your Business!!

God Bless!!

And its sold already...for 1399 dollars

Looks like different batches of F-22 have different types of nose cones.

Specially from the last picture one thing is obvious..The areas most prone to solid radar reflections are of a different color..The Engine air intake..The wing edges, and all the edges are cover with some sort of coating..The rest of the plane appears shiny and of different color..From this we can deduce that the grey painted surfaces are the RAM coated areas, and that includes the nose cone..The rest of the plane is relying on curves for stealth...
Since the picture from ebay i posted above do match the dimensions of an actual F-22 nose cone..may be this is factory reject which didnt pass the QC...So we can assume with 60% credibility that this is a real nose cone from a real Raptor and it does seem to be very simple..Most probably good old fiberglass.
and looking at all the above pictures of F-22 raptors the nose cones are covered in RAM..so we can deduce that there is no magic in the nose itself..the magic is in the coating..
Same can be said for the actual AESA antenna..That may well be coated with RAM..and this dual RAM coating may be enough for stealthiness the Radar instead of some sci-fi material or system.
The antenna itself is said to be composed of 2000 transponders each with 4 watts output..that's a total of 8 kilo watts of transmission power..By narrowing the beam and concentrating the energy in smaller area the long range detection capabilities can be achieved.(again an assumption)
For the returning signal and increased gain and advanced clutter filters can compensate for the lost signal strength due to RAM coating on the nose cone.

Oh well..this pretty much ends my contribution to this thread..Moving on to some other thread...

and F-22 can time warp and fire black holes.
now where should i bang my head.
The trouble with guys like you is that you start shooting from the hip just because it sounds too far for your brains to comprehend. Don't bang your head just yet. Read on.

Like the F-22 are you aware that even Northrop's older B2 stealth bomber has an anti grav/electro-gravitic propulsion system. Have a look at this page from Michael Schratt's book...

B-2-electrogravitics.jpg

Much of the craft's hull is made up of an advanced dielectric ceramic material. It also uses the Biefeld-Brown effect to ionize the air over the craft that probably reduces energy emissions/signature which cannot be picked up by BVR detectors, and so the extremely small or almost null RCS .

Now if you're interested in knowing more about research in gravity shielding (anti gravity) let me know instead of bashing technology that seems science fiction to your uninitiated brain!

Cheers!

This off some site that also believes in Roswell.. Area 51's alien breeding farm.. and the aurora spaceplane??
I agree that charging the plate might effect edge diffraction but the rest of it is pure gagaland BS.

I'll bet that "nose cone" is a mock-up for a display, a wind-tunnel model, maybe a portion of a mold. Or... it forms just the basis of the radome, and the secret goodies are layered over it.

It's very doubtful if anything could be learned from it.

There was a F-16 and F-22 canopy out there with a civilian sub manufacturer.

So it may be that the molds make it out there.

If they had antigravity on the B-2 they won't need to install heavy lift fans in the F-35B...

Looks like they made modifications to the canopy on the sub. The "one-piece" canopy of the F-16 opens from the behind.
