For Ghengis Khan I ranked him on his military Campaign from China to Europe in a very Short Span of time with his largely Nomadic Force. How do you rank any leader.I rank them how much they achieved not by area but by influence. How large their army was,How advance they were in their times. How clever they were in their wars like these things

Caliph Umer Ibn-e-Khatab I ranked him due to his Campaigns and Victory against two of the Superpower of that period Byzantine and Persian Empires with only available resources of Nomadic Army in his side.

It would be almost impolite to specify the MOST successful mily commander in history. There have been many - in various nations and at various periods of history. And sitting in judgement one really catapult oneself above the premises he belongs to. For instance, I do believe Sivaji was a robber/daku. However, the Marathas eulogize him so much that the Maratha soldier's war cry is: "Chhatrapati Sivaji Maharj Ki Jai".
He may have lost two battles but in MOST battles,he was outnumbered and still he won those battles by brilliant tactics and ultimately achieved his goal by recapturing Palestine (Bait ul Muqaddas) after 90 years.
You gotta be sh*tting me.He was a great tactician by any standards........You should read some books on his military campaigns first and then post something
