The Most Powerful Militaries In The Middle East

The question is why is egypt better then ksa? KSA have money and they are buyin everything, this is good and bat. Egypt dont have cruisemissiles but ballistic missile. No deep strike capaballity like ksa. BM dont make a country strong but you intent using nukes you do have somehting with BM.

because iran making stuf they are better then ksa?

I see stil Turkey as number one.

scrap syria from the list:-). Why is israel number one?

Best track record. Best doctrine. More importantly, crucial, tradition. They know how to fight, and they can actually implement what they know.
Since I don't see Turkey as ME that leaves Israel as the premier fighting force in the ME, bar none. In that respect, the order is 100% right.

IMHO, Iran is a dud and SA isn't battle tested (and I wouldn't hold my breath on their performance against a professional foe),My personal 0.2 cents

Explane in which way?

hey, i missed your answer before. sorry about that !

in which way ? everyway ! manpower, training, equipment, training, real life hard as hell experience..all of it.

you don't understand...their survival depends on it.

If nukes is the reason Israel is number 1, then if I remember correctly, I think Turkey also have access to NATO's nuclear arsenal. Without nukes, and any foreign intervention, I believe Turkey is stronger than Israel.

every two week there is a new most powerful thread

KSA is definetely in the top 3. No doubt about it. As almost in every single such report including this one. Anyway all GCC armies are practically one which makes it even more powerful.

I don't see an regional power posing a real threat to KSA or the GCC outside of neighboring Israel (only due to nuclear weapons).

Also we know what kind of rumors pop up when KSA and nuclear weapons are discussed. Just saying.

Many if not all of these reports are mainly based on reputation, Saudi Arabia only recently begun to make its military an active participant in the region so as time goes on the outdated reports of the quarter of a century ago will be updated as a result. Including the Israeli rankings, Middle Eastern countries are not the same as they were 70 and 60 years ago, unless you somehow believe in genetic superiority or inferiority and in that case any discussion with such a person is futile.

This does not even make sense from a historical viewpoint as KSA for instance was never a Western colony despite attempts of Western powers to annex it and areas of KSA have never been a colony of anyone outside fellow Arabs and Semites. Moreover we don't have to talk about Arab military history which is one of the very best among all ethnic groups out there without a doubt and the founders of those Caliphates, Kingdoms, Sheikdoms, Emirates, Imamates were persons from the lands of KSA. We don't have to mention the fact that 3 of the 10 largest empires in human history were founded by people just from Hijaz. More than any other ethnic group in the top 10.

Without British air bombardments (the first in the ME if I recall) KSA would have included all of the GCC countries, Yemen, Iraq, Jordan and even possibly Syria today.

Let the ignorants here bark and they are welcome to attack us. We will give them hell. Let them become familiar with our "barbarity" form close hand as they cry about constantly here on PDF.

:Equipment wise
1. Turkey
2. Iran
3. Egypt
4. S. Arabia (Can be second after Turkey, but Iran is still more powerful missile wise)

It can also be
1. Iran
2. Egypt
3.Turkey
4. KSA
Due to war experience

Why add Usrael, it is a US proxy, or better yet a (protected) state, with an unconditional defense pact. So we might as well rank the US as a middle eastern military state.
To be fair we should only name the genuine independent middle eastern countries.

Lol.

S.Arabia and Egypt are both more powerful than Iran

your missile arsenal is worthless without nukes , and unless you got a thousand launchers they will cause very little damage.

Turkey, Israel and KSA, in this order, are the three top militaries by a long shot.

And you go and say exactly what I warned you against, I hate nationalism Hasani, and I couldn't really give two fecal matters what our ancestors did since time immemorial and I don't believe that honor is hereditary, all I care about is here and now.

We may had huge empires in the past, but the last century we as Arabs and let's be honest here barely functioned as a country, if any. However time brings change, and an educated open minded population is the basis in which I grade a society, not based on imaginary genetic honors.

You need to stop this "Our past" horse that you have been riding in PDF for a long time now, I don't agree with it, I never did and I never will. The only thing I care about is what can we do today, and that is "Better" than the past 200 years. But that on itself doesn't really say much at all. I believe in our young generation, and that they hold between their shoulders the bright future of our people in the upcoming years.

And to add to that, we still have a long way to go, a very long and hard way to go before we can say we are the best, never for a second believe that we have achieved what we wanted just yet.

Well, as you know I am an nationalist and would encourage all Saudi Arabians and Arabs to become that. I say this openly and proudly and never claimed anything else. I was talking about most of our Islamic history (1400 years) and the past 200-100 years are not going to define our whole history like some ignorant clowns here want it to appear. So of course I am not going to tolerate that.

As you know I have also been very critical of our leaders, certain moronic rules, why changes did not occur earlier but I also know that the 82 years that KSA has existed cannot define our millennium old ancient Arab/Semitic histories which are mostly full of glory and pride.

Our current reality is much, much, much better than the reality just 20 years ago which we should be happy about although there is ton of necessary changes on almost all fronts (economic, social, POLITICAL) to be made but that's something that we all know. I never hidden that rather the opposite.

But I won't tolerate ignoants or foreingers to belittle our history. In this case military history which is among the very best. Ever.

Just like you don't tolerate that KSA military wise is viewed like it was just 20 years ago let alone 60 years ago!

Let's be honest, for political reasons the previous two generations of Saudis were kept passive and docile, and when push came to shove and with the country opening up to the world and Saudis travelling the world in droves and the internet all of these created a different generation than the ones before, which mine and your generation, I dare say it maybe the only decent generation to come out of this land in a long long time.

So yeah, I really don't care about what we were 10 minutes ago, and the only pride that I wear is the ones I create with my own hands, and this may sound cocky from me but in 24 years I think I created enough pride for myself to last me my whole life career and personal wise however I am still extremely not satisfied with myself and feel a dire need to continuously improve myself and become a better person as time goes on. And this is the same mentality I have for my country which is part of my identity. Improving is a source of pride yes but improving is not a wholly positive thing but a negative eraser kind of thing.

We still need to improve much more, and that on many fronts, from civilian to military, from scientific to bureaucracy everything needs to improve to a higher standard, it is improving true, but it is not enough yet. And I am not impatient to want change to happen overnight. But I do like to see change happen. And pretty much this is why I joined this forum anyways, to let people know that change is happening in KSA. They either accept it and be happy for us, or they can be mad, either way it doesn't stop the fact that we are the first in the world in regards to scientific output growth, and became the first in the Arab world surpassing Egypt recently in yearly scientific output, but let's be honest here, the Arab world is like the 3rd league and we are still way off playing in the premier league, but if you and me continue to do research and publish it in our country's organizations' names our children may be able to compete in a higher league than us. We are the generation responsible for planting the trees in which our grandchildren will sit in its shade, sort to speak.
