There were 4-5% of civilized Indians when Islam came, all of them Brahmins. Mulatos of Vedic Aryans who kept all the knowledge to themselves and denied spreading it to tribals. Things may have been different without caste system.

One point of view, I would like to humbly disagree. History of India is not about teaching the "Brutes" or "Invaders", it was a history of amalgamation of cultures, views in every form of thoughts be it philosophy, art or literature.

In any interaction between civilization there is some exchange, but moghuls did have nothing to offer. What they built were all they got from India... So, India might have got so many thing from other civilizations, but not from mughuls who invaded... only thing babar left was converted temples.

Off topic but i will respond anyway. Few miss guided blowing up, did you read latest report on bomb blasts in India and how many innocents are killed? These are crimes comitted in both countries.

Here we are talking about civilization and culture. Killing unborn girls is Indian culture and proof of their great civilization. Mughals almost eliminating Sati saved millions of hindu womans, and countless other hindus who were born after these womans were saved and married again.

India was tribal in nature before Islam came. Now there is hardly any cases of Sati. Well unborn girls genocide is going on but thats different matter, goverment can't do much about it.

No .you dont know about the history before the Mughals.Muslim rule start with brutalities.You know at that time Sati implemented volunteerily by women.Do you know why?Before Muslims came to India.,Hindu kings in India will respect their enemy and their womens relatives even if they defeated that enemy.
But muslim dont had that honour or respect sometimes they resorted in cheap tactics.And it will be usual when a muslim invader defeat an Hindu king they will attack a,kidnap and rape their womens.So womens will suicide before invading barbarians molest them.
After centuries passed it became a wrong tradition.In fact Mughals encourage Sati indirectly.British system heavily influence the abolition of sati.Not Mughals.

I can say for Southern India, we had local rulers till british and had nothing to do for Mughals, and we still speak native languages unadulterated by foreign influences, have our own traditional dresses, dances, music, and other art forms, our awesome temples still stands, native cultural practices still followed etc etc....

We have no remnants of foreign influence... maybe that is why southern India is doing much better than other parts of India, and much much better than Pakistan... we are in peace with our identity which u sadly lack

Mauryan empire didn't last long enough to do anything for India and not soon after it was back to multiple kingdoms, Mughals reunited the subcontinent into one framework, Marattas took over said framework and English took it from them. Without Mughals there would be like 10 or more countries in the subcontinent.

trust me,we wont be hurting each other like the Arab world or Yugoslavia.

We know how to make a federation and govern.

Yes, I know that the Marathas are doing well. But there are historical reasons for the success of Maharashtra.
The Marathas maintain a strong sense of unity and are proud of being Marathas and Indians which doesn't
exist in Pakistan and Afghanistan. This started during the reign of the Maratha Empire when Shivaji Maharaj
united the Marathas. The Marathas were able to defeat the Mughal Empire and conquer the major part
of northern India because the different Maratha castes(Shudra and Brahmin) worked together to
defeat the Mughals.
