The Little Israel in India

Opinion polls are cold, hard facts, neither left nor right. And the article cited specific statements and demands by named Jewish lawmakers and state agencies. If you don't like to face the reality, then it's your choice, of course.
Dude, you dont have an idea who Uri Avnery is, do you? If you read my previous post carefully I agreed with you. I suppose you couldnt understand what I wrote.
And, hey, Gaza is not Auschwitz, right? So why complain?
An absurd justification for an inhuman situation if I ever saw one.
Gaza and Israeli Arabs/Palestinians are two different stories. Period. I do not condone Israeli policies in occupied territories. Out of context here.

J'en sais plus que vous, il paraît.
Aye, right, you be. More knowledgeable ye be, than I. May th' knowledge be wi' ye!, argh!

Pakistan will always chose China over India... we are sincere to our closest ally.

Which one will you chose if there's a conflict between Iran and Israel?

we r not cheap partners to both israel and iran.....
to answer ur question, india will do what best suits her, becoz we r n't desperate as u r to get close strong ally, yeah u got just china as ur frnd worth mentioning !!! all eggs in one basket....

why dont u check ur own history and ask the right question ? how much has china stick her neck out for u guys when u were at war with India ?... politics is not abt friendship and exchanging eternal pleasantries
Israel is a good partner for military hardware, iran an old friend and probably future energy partner, but that doesn't mean we just follow somebody irrespective of how much we gain !!!!

u may think its materialistic, but that's where we live....

so keep this "friendship" ignorant posts with u, china doesn't do favors to u if it has none, for that matter any country. These "friendship" posts are only gud for forum discussions where we exxagerate them a little more !!!

Please do not underestimate Pakistan’s friendship with China - It goes back a long way and to heights that are beyond the comprehension of the layman.

:pakistan: :china:

Most of india's citizen would probably want india to chose israel, judging from the reaction of indians on the internet for israelis and their support for israel's war against Muslims, anyways I think Iran already knows you are playing a double game and india's heart lies with israel.

India's heart lies in India. Every country has right to look for its interest, we are getting lot of Military help from Israel so why not. Also there is nothing that Israel has done against India.

:pakistan: :china:

and what qualifies u from any indifferent layman ? u guys just boast abt friendship as though china will look after u more than herself when ther is a crisis... what i meant is there is no unconditional friendship, so u have to save ur asss urself and only hope to get some support in ur favor, if u get much more than that, u sud feel blessed !!!

but people here seem to give a different perception...friends r gud but dont depend on them too much for ur own survival, esp when u can buy friends or partners based off ur strength. even if CHina is ur all-weather friend still it maynt help u when needed becoz there r sooo many strings attached ...

I think neither side disputes that Israel oppresses Palestinians, so let me sum it up:

The Pakistanis are saying that any trade with Israel is indirectly subsidizing their oppression of Palestinians.

The Indians are saying it's all business and they don't really care where their money goes.

Bottom line, Indians will do business with the devil if it serves their interest, while Pakistanis claim the moral high ground.

Yes, Pakistan does business with countries (US, China, Muslim countries) which also have policies against Muslims, but they can't compare in scale and intent to the Israeli atrocities.

PS. Israeli Arabs are not "living peacefully" in Israel. They are second class citizens who face daily discrimination in employment, housing, education, ...

Dude what you need to understand is friendship between two people is different then between two countries. No two countries who has relationship with each support everything done by other, but that does not mean we should stop having relationship with that country. We have our own limits and we have all the right to have a relationship with Israel, Pakistan cannot dictate our foreign policies. Do not link up our relationship with Israel to Palestine, the conflict between Israel and Palestine was existing even before India came in, and even if we move out it will not change. Now how then we impact that relationship, we do not. Israel is useful to us and we value that relationship and will keep doing it, remember their help at Kargil times:flame:

Tough question (and please try to answer honestly):

If Israel had displaced 600,000 Hindus and was oppressing them because of their religion, would India still be doing business with them?

Personally, I doubt it.

There is no way a democratic government in India would be able to have anything to do with a country that presecuted Hindus to that extent because of their religion. Not just the BJP, but no political party could possibly survive if it advocated such close ties.

Well its hypothetical question but cannot say clear no. We generally do not associate us on basis of religon so if these people were not Indian's yes. We have not taken contract for all Hindus in the world.

You know i am getting to understand why people in Pak fell Indians react by religion they are doing reverse of what they see in Pak, Dude Indians do not associate with religion that much state and language comes first. Try eves dropping when 2 indians meet, they look for people from same state. A marathi looks for marathi, tamil for tamil.

Extremist Hindu elements in India may not dominate the politics, but they are also not insignificant. Notice the race riots against Sikhs and Muslims; how easy it was to stir up popular sentiment.

Godhra was just 58 people. Now imagine if 600,000 people are targetted and kept in subjugation for decades. It is inconceivable that India would maintain such close military ties with such a country.

Yeah come & kill them & say it Co lateral Damage & BTW is their any news about CIA finding those WMDs in Iraq??
What about Israel?? Tell me Israel is a land Given to Jews by God, no one else has right to live there & then do know u the theories of Zionism, wait i'll post it

the iraq war was between bush and saddam......and the afgan war is against terrorism........

it is only you people who give a religeous touch to everything you see and hear...........

then what will you call the war that your country is fighiting with the taliban....is it not religeous in nature considering the fact that the taliban believe that they are fighiting for islam......!???????/

war is a war and only results in death - nothing else......there are many reasons why they take place.....for land....show of power etc.....yes wars have taken place for religeon but not now.....only in the past .....

now let me ask you this:disagree:

every war faught b/w india and pakistan is given a religeous touch in your country like "{war between hindu india and the islamic pakistan"
now seeing that there are christians and hindu in pakistan however small in numbers ,they do support you in your war ....so why are you robbing them of their nationality.......since they are not muslims are they non-pakistani's?........in india we do not consider it as a war b/w muslims and hindu's ....its just a war b/w pak and india.........

I don't think most Pakistanis see the conflict with India as a religious conflict.

Religious parties in Pakistan may use the religion card to portray themselves as extra-patriotic, and some politicians may pander to them, but most people know the conflict is about Kashmir (or East Pakistan in 71).

Here is an article, not related to the topic at hand, purportedly by "Abhijay Patel". But at the end of the article, the author signs off as Col. Ghulam Sarwar (R)

Here is another article, again not related to the topic, by the same "Abhijay Patel", but this time the author signs off as Shumaila Raja.

"Abhijay Patel" seems to be the preferred pseudonym of certain hate mongers. ;) "His" write ups are to be taken with a large role of double-ply toilet paper.

If you look at the last paragraph closely, it is very poorly edited. The quote by General Talat Masood is not terminated, and the sentence structure is very strange. It sounds like the entire last paragraph is a quote by Col. Ghulam Sarwar (R), and the writer Abhijay Patel needs to go back to remedial English class to learn how to write properly.

No, it's a reference to an article India behind the Taliban by Shumaila Raja. Once again, the idiot Abhijay Patel doesn't know how to write English.

Well I can give a similar example that might help. Sri Lankan tamils had been fighting for a separate homeland for a number of years but despite that IPKF forces were sent to supress them. India also gave up its PM to "preserve" Sri lankan integrity so to speak. At the same time India raised concern for the Tamil refugees. As of now they are estimated to be around 300-350k. Now this was right on the border of India. Sri Lanka was still provided with aid and the govt. their has always appreciated Indian efforts despite sensitivities faced in India itself.

Tamils are mostly Hindus although muslims and Christians also consist a significant minority. Of course Sri Lanka didn't have advanced weaponry that India needed so the examples are not exact but you can get the idea.
Also, this does not mean India has never supported Palestinians. I will get some info on this and post it up later.
