This video uncovers the project and explains in great detail. I myself was confused with the no road claims and healthy environment plus the line itself but this video is probably the only video explaining this city's build in detail and understandable to average joes.

This is a game changer and first city of it's kind.

Just imagine if you place in there someone who died in 2010s and that is like 10 years ago but he would say what the fuk is this in shock. It would be to futuristic for him to understand

definitely. He would ask why is there no roads? cars? trains? and metro? and why is it the size of a village? and why is there another similar village just few 2-3 kilometers straight ahead?

almost like a wall but made of people and villages instead of wire or concrete.

Wall? I think you misunderstood the design. The villages are placed on a line perhaps separated 2-3 kilometers and the line connection is sub-terranean and there is no physical connection between the villages on the above sea-level. The cargo transportation, AI car motorways and metro system all is beneath the earth.

I believe they setup the villages as city districts because each city has like 20-25 districts and I mean cities with 1 million + population. technically the villages are districts here but according to them due to the speed in which you can reach the next village makes it sort of into a district instead of a village despite being 2-3 kilometers away. It's completely new concept

A long narrow line of empty land becomes occupied. To me that is what the Great Wall of China looks like....wall tower wall tower..... village green village green.... quick transport below ground to move "defenders".
Doesn't mean I am correct in how I see it. I am just saying what it make me think of.

For hundreds of years, the tribe had occupied villages and towns, including a historical capital, Khuraybah, across the northwestern province of Tabuk. Now, some 20,000 people are set to be pushed out to make room for Neom. But things have not gone as planned. The killing of Huwaiti , and the government’s heavy-handed effort to force the Huwaitat tribe to accept the terms of their displacement, is a microcosm of all that is wrong with the country’s reckless and ruthless authoritarian ruler. It is bloody dream of Neom city.

Ideally suited for? Yes, you got it. For interaction with Israel which is only few miles away from this location. The city is literally being built right next to Israel.

the Israelophobia is a bit to much on this site sometimes a bit brain-deadish. It is located there due to the climate being ideal and it's geoloction being close to the suez-canal. It is strategic and benefits the city in trade. Suez-Canal is worlds busiest port and strip with 90% of all the goods in the world passing thru that area

The Huwaiti incident was avoidable indeed and mistake imho

Tabuk is a historic city and I don't think the line will reach that far out from the coast to Tabuk

MBS better hope it doesn't end up like KAEC, or its previous attempts to diversify KSA's economy. Considering Saudia's abysmal track record with large scale projects, no pro-Saudi person should get their hope's up.

If it works out, it will definitely be a game changer for KSA, but that assumes the NEOM project will finish on time, and will be able to keep all its promises.

By the way, just a reminder that it's almost march, and the Saudis still haven't done anything regarding Yemen that you claimed KSA would, so you only have a few weeks left to prove me wrong. lol

Lmao someone is bitter. I enjoy these tears by the way. KAEC is ready and have been ready for quite sometime perhaps you have been living under a stone.

I also remember someone who mentioned Masdar as an example another time and that is also another city that is completeled

King Abduallah Economic city is completed.
