1. What is a 'Country', e.g Britain and the British Government is a service for the physical people who live on the geographic area of the British Isles. Same with any 'country' and 'government', they are there to SERVE the people. They are not anyone's master or father. They answer to the PEOPLE.

2. You elect people to Government to make it easier for everyday life, like take out the trash to the rubbish tips and make sure there is clean water supply. If you cant do that you are DEFUNCT, good bye. New government. POWER is given and can be TAKEN BACK.

3. Nationalistic means nothing. Its a feeling you get in your stomach, like supporting your favourite football club.

Well when things become about whats easiest way to have/keep power....rather than use merit/debate to discuss fundamental issues (regarding nation/greater good etc)....ugly alliances happen...even within the same individual sometimes. Some Pakistani member here told me long while back (when I was new) that a number of the blah-religious-preachers are same ones that also indulge in the degenerate vices that they preach against...that in the end its about power....rather than actually believing in something for the betterment of oneself and all around.

So I think that does juxtapose somewhat well between the sin of "we wuz arabz" kind of fake-piety and the other sin of the flesh that bollywood etc....the rope is often the same rope being burned from two ends that dont really take cognisance of the other (because that actually needs core morality and decency), till they meet and theres no rope left of course. A person (and it scales to a society/country pretty well too) has to be internally resilient rather than eternally needing to compare against others to justify whatever situation/attitude/psyche they may or may not have. The more you have of the former, the better you will do where it matters. The more of the latter you have...well the worse you will do in the same. I personally don't think any group of people, bounded by whatever identity are eternal lost causes or eternal saviours though....just the timeframes needed to see things from the appropriate vantage point are quite immense compared to our own lifetimes...so most people are ignorant in the end about such things. History shows a good guiding light on it if people care to partake of learning of it as neutrally as they can.
