As Pakistan, it is unknown to most Muslim world and holds little relevance. Sorry but that is the truth no Arab, Turk or Iranian would follow the lead of Pakistan. Maybe if Pakistan had an imperial history and dominion over the Muslim world like Turkey and Iran once did it could be.

Don't get me wrong, I love Pakistan but it does no have the influence or say as countries like Turkey, Iran, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

I think you are wrong!!! They do have influence which isn't just overly publicized!!! And, they do possess some staffs that other Muslim can't even dream of. I think I need to stop here...

Now, let's analyze which enemies this Last Castle is holding the ground against:

• 7X larger India with 1.25b folks whose redemption lies in Pak's destruction to take revenge for thousand years of Muslim rule!!! They have kept >50% of their populace (including women folks) without toilets, are the largest arms importer in the world and have elected genocidal maniacs, who even want to rape the dead bodies of women, to power to accomplish that!! Not to mention all the proxy terrorists they employed. Their motto is to fight Pak 24/7 with the "Last Afgan". And, they never fail to send their entire army to the Pak border every other year....
• Superpowers' favorite play ground is Afganistan - becoming whose neighbor itself can drown any country at any given time!! And, Pak is poised to play "tango" with the Superpowers occupying that very Afganistan!! They have already knocked out the USSR, which divided Pak into 2 parts only to find herself divided into 15 parts - 6 of them Turkic!!!!!! Even the Pentagon boys, who otherwise trample Muslim countries like ants, are fighting for breath as the choreography is getting faster!!!!
• The best proxies money can buy are at all borders of Pak!! And, they're playfully crushing them as they pop up their heads every now and then.
• And, they are compelled to accomplish all these with only a couple of billion $s in their treasury!!!!

Let's now compare what Turkey or Iran are facing!!!!! As for Turkey, it's Greece/PKK/PYD etc., and they have been fighting PKK for the last 30 years!!! As for Iran, according to the Late Shah, the Mollas were installed by CIA....

I love Turkey but, Islam can live without Pakistan and Turkey, Turkey and Pakistan are bcoz of Islam, not otherway around.

Pakistan will have friendly relation with Turkey whether its democratic, communist, or military rule. our relations are not with AKP, its with Turkey, so for us it doesn't matter who rule Turkey.

The coup seemed to be the same old power play btw conservatives and kemalists in Turkey. Many secular Turks here and on Twitter were at first cheering for it when it looked like it would succeed.

The Gullen factor might have been there but it has been exaggerated by both sides. The Kemalists don't want to own up to the coup because it was such a spectacular failure.

The conservatives because a preacher based in the U.S. makes an easier target than military men who think they are fighting for the ideals of Ataturk.

What is most definitely true is the U.S. and German backing of the attempted coup.

Researching FETÖ - Aka Hizmet Movement, their actions in military, jurisdiction, some assassinations left in the dark, Jailing of Generals of in 2000s with pony cases, 17-25 December incidents, cram schools and private schools....this issue is extremely big, and to see the whole pic, you really need hundreds of hours of research.

The whole gülen is sounding like a conspiracy theory to outsiders, cant blame them.
To put things into perspective, the gülen network had its own bank, most selling newspaper, a Turkish olympiad with participants from over 150 countries where gülenist schools operate, thousands of private schools etc.
Its a multi billion organization with its head under US protection, the coup wont sound like a conspiracy anymore once people would know the whole scale of this neetwork.
