What's new

The JL-2 SLBM is now fully revealed

Human instinct is very similar to other examples found in nature. Those who have not have the opportunity to become socialized via exposure to outsiders, tend to be very closed off and defensive of any perceived threat from foreign sources. The desire to identify with a crowd or group, as well as the psychological mechanisms used to ensure its survival, are extremely evident in multiple aspects of life.

You will see the same type of embellishment of positives and rationalization of negatives in fans of a specific sports team, in religion, regional cultures, political parties, and any other artificial division of the population. Nationality just happens to be the squeaky wheel here, due to the nature of the discussions.

Having bias and prejudice are natural, and I am not claiming I am somehow beyond such defects. Luckily most of us seem to be able to at least try to set aside those biases. Otherwise it becomes easy to ignore posts like the one you quoted if you practice. :P
One of your biggest mistake is continuing to underestimate us. This is very dangerous as it will lead to miscalculation on your part. We show some to demonstrate that you should think twice about intervening in our domestic affair. We are **** up and tired of foreign countries interfering in our affair. This is not Qing China anymore. We will strike and hurt you back if you dare messing with our core interest.

This is a clear warning message to Japan; you are on your own if you wanna fight against China.

Our Japanese friend were talking about joining the US and militarily force China into submission if China decided to annex Taiwan by force. I guess history fails to teach some people. Worse yet, it mis-teaches.

I think you are confusing educated estimations with underestimations. The public US intel reports are very clinical in nature, and by no means intentionally downplay or demean, at least from the few that I have read. It is always an enlightening and uncomfortable situation to see what others say about you when you are not around, be it a person or nation. Outside of the sensationalist media, you wont see anyone declaring China's new military invincible when they launch a new system, nor will you see rejoicing or over-emphasizing the inevitable setbacks and failures that come with such rapid change.

You are obviously from the section of the Chinese population that has a large chip on its shoulder, and are eager to be seen at or near an equal militarily with America. While you are already seeing your country being taken very seriously in your immediate sphere of influence, nothing China does or will do can change what both countries have known for decades: An all-out direct conflict spells the end of both.

The Chinese are "TIRED" with all the interventions into its affairs (Taiwan Issue; the South China Sea; Diaoyu Island; Pivot to Asia/China Containment Policy) and the endless show-offs & challenges by the USA forces in front of the Chinese door. Indeed any MAJOR POWER will get tired to take orders from Washington. Obviously the many smaller nations have no choice but to swallow it for their own survival (see the cases of Saddam Hussein - Iraq and Moamar Gaddafi - Libya and many others... this is the iron rules imposed by the militaristic Empire post-WWII).

The USA as the Empire power post-World War II demands all nations incl. China (and Russia as well) to take orders from Washington as the sole Empire, something like the WWII losers: Japan and Germany as well as the rest of the world are doing. Of course any sane and true MAJOR POWER will naturally decline to take such order at some point of time and instead maintain its sovereignty and national interests in true sense!

Nowadays the USA power is all based on its military might (in the past it was still backed by economy prowess until 1971, the collapse of Bretton Woods, the final leg of the gold standard as well as the world's largest oil producer during 1950s - 1960s).

Even the World Reserve Currency status is interlinked and backed in full faith by its PETRODOLLAR status, and the Petrodollar status in turn is propped by military power, in particular the 11 CBVG!

The moment USA loses its military dominance, all other aspects incl. the financial & economy will fall down like the house of cards or sand castle!

Some elites in the USA do "BELIEVE" that the nuke exchange is WINNABLE by doing the SURPRISED FIRST NUCLEAR STRIKE / DECAPITATION STRIKE (to make it possible is by achieving the "NUCLEAR PRIMACY" or "FULL SPECTRUM DOMINANCE" ==> part of the USA's active Military Doctrine at present), the integral part of this initiative calls for the deployment of the GLOBAL BMD UMBRELLA (to deny any significant retaliatory nuclear strike or the second nuclear strike by CHN or RUS). Therefore we're witnessing the very strong pushes to deploy the many BMD systems encircling both Russia (in Romania, Poland, etc) and China (in ROK, AUS, JPN, etc) plus many sea-based Aegis systems... all are part of this obvious plan! For the USA, the usage of Nuclear Strike is no longer for defensive purpose only, but the nuke arsenal has been shifted into a part of the offensive weapons.

There are many resources discussing this matter, just search around using the keywords: "Surprised First Nuclear Strike / Decapitation Strike"; "Nuclear Primacy / Full Spectrum Dominance"; "Global Ballistic Missile Defense Umbrella".

Following is an excerpt from "Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists":

The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists published a study, on 1 March 2017, which opened as follows:

“The US nuclear forces modernization program has been portrayed to the public as an effort to ensure the reliability and safety of warheads in the US nuclear arsenal, rather than to enhance their military capabilities. In reality, however, that program has implemented revolutionary new technologies that will vastly increase the targeting capability of the US ballistic missile arsenal. This increase in capability is astonishing — boosting the overall killing power of existing US ballistic missile forces by a factor of roughly three — and it creates exactly what one would expect to see, if a nuclear-armed state were planning to have the capacity to fight and win a nuclear war by disarming enemies with a surprise first strike.”

It continues:

Because the innovations in the super-fuze appear, to the non-technical eye, to be minor, policymakers outside of the US government (and probably inside the government as well) have completely missed its revolutionary impact on military capabilities and its important implications for global security.

This study was co-authored by America’s top three scientists specializing in analysis of weaponry and especially of the geostrategic balance between nations: Hans Kristensen, Matthew McKinzie, and Theodore Postol.
