What is similarity between Spike & Javelin??

Javelin and Spike MR are very similar systems.

But Spike has an entire family: Spike LR, Spike ER, Spike NLOS.

It will be good if US somehow gets MMRCA deal even if they get it buy offering F-35s.

Their production lines of F-35 are already under burden of large backlog of orders from various customers including USAF, so it will be impossible for them to deliver on time. On topic, Javelin is little better than spike but quite expensive than the latter.

F-35 is a 5th gen plane designed to be used by all three services as per their needs and it will add teeth to IAF & specially IN against PLAAF & PLAN as they don't have a 5th gen plane which can fulfill requirements of all three services specially Navy.

America isn't friend of anyone,they are just using others to fulfill their agenda and when their agenda is done then you also know what happens next,for ex-Pakistan.So,it would be better for us if we avoid these types of lucrative deals and work on Jv's with Russia or other trust able partner who wont show their back to us in the time of need.

French deal will be finalized this year,so us getting MMRCA is nothing but a pipe dream

You know the biggest problem with India besides defence is that it does not utilize its population as well as China. If India want to speed up development it has to attract the world quicker. Any proposals how to?



Give everyone a cellphone. It will attract more business, more app development, more marketing revenue, etc. But the most important thing is it will transform the ppl of India. It will make them more aware across state lines. Education, tele health, news, ecommerce, local govt, etc. The reason I pose this solution is because it will allow India and Indians to quickly transform and adapt quicker. It will help narrow the gap between Indian and China. America's help on Big Data analytics will help also.

You are correct on this.... But India cannot go for F-35 ...Reason behind is:

1. USA is not reliable partner....But France is.
2. Strategic Command Force assignment cannot be given to F-35.. Rafale can do this without hesitation.
3. It will be tough to operate and maintain 3 different 5th generation fighter platform...No Issue with Rafale.
4. Etc.

I don know how correct I am on this , but this is as per my view.

Spike has a man-in-the-loop and optical so you can move it to hit a pin-point spot on the tank or go right through a window if you wanted.

Javelin and Spike are two good systems.
Just need to get the weight down on Javelin by a few kilos
