The ISI Chief: Ready to Depart?

Since it's official that PM rejected the resignation, This kind of comments from you and the one on Pakistani War Section thread, clearly shows how fast you change your mentality and make derogatory remarks. Tch tch, So Anti Pakistani you are. I pity your mentality man. seriously

well u r entitled to u r opinion mate. i m just stating facts.

if u dont agree with them, u r problem

u think civilian govt takes any strategic decision in u r country. the answer is no. this fact has been accepted several "think tanks" present in this very forum.

i am osrry....but you dont live in pakistan!!!

I don't think Pasha should be sacrificial goat.

Other heads should actually roll!

Who allowed the US a free hand?

Pasha?

.
its a 'collective' failure of the govt, ISI and the military - Pasha being head of the ISI, will be made a 'scapegoat' and will be asked to leave his post. remember he is only a individual. the institution of the ISI is strong, organised and disciplined. the new head will be appointed and then it will be business as usual.

if anyone thinks this govt and its so-called parliamentatians will be able to 'reform' and 'downsize' the ISI. it is beyond their collective intelligence. the ISI has a lot of 'leverage' on these carpetbeggars.

look at all the civilian security organisations which report to the govt. the Police, the FIA. they are 'inept', 'corrupt' and all senior appointments are based on personal likes and dislikes of the PM and the CM. the govt uses these organisations for their own political self-interests.

what is required is a National Security Policy which does not exist at this time. maybe its time we have a Homeland Security Department which is responsible for 'internal security' leaving the ISI to deal with 'external' security issues.

He presented his resignation and was not accepted by the PM. The best thing which has happened was the mutual understanding of all NATIONAL institutions including Govt, Army, Intelligence, Air Force during this long and tense in camera session which lasted late running to next morning at about 1:30 am.

so the best thing had happened and we all those morons who were doing propaganda against Pakistan their medias are now looking like wet sheep

A relief know that now everything is "business as usual". There is no better "Quo" than "Status Quo".

FATMAN: The biggest ehsan which Army and ISI can do for Pakistan is--Organize free and fair elections without giving another NRO to politicians. I could not understand one thing, if Army is so patriotic, muhab e watan, why the H did they use these corrupticians? Maybe because of the pocket? Anyways, considering the past misadventures, ISI can organize free and fair elections, if they want to...Will they--That is the big question...

The fact that most Pakistanis are not asking the hard question is an ominous sign. If the people of Pakistan think that this is the last blunder on the part of the ISI, they are wrong. Those who thought that they could hide OBL indefinitely have been proven wrong. In future this kind of stupidity can get Pakistan into even greater peril and for that reason it is imperative that this type of people are flushed out from key positions.

the best thing to do is to empower the IB and make it in to a competent institution, responsible for home security, home intelegence and vice versa. it should be under the PM"s command. Its DG should be made responsible for the daily breifings to the PM. ISI should have the role of foriegn intelegence covering all the subjects & issues. Although building an institution isn't an easy job & would probably take years, but its a very acheivable target.provided resourses both FINANCIAL & HUMAN are made available, with a strong resolve and will to achieve the objective.I would also say that it be a CIVILIAN institution.this would take the burden off the ISI's shoulders & also keep it away from domestic party politics & unnecessry interferance and influence. IF the goverment is serious about democracy then it should take the intiative now. this is also probably the best oppertunity for a civilian government. last but not the least if IB is to be made the institution responsible for domestic intelegence IT SHOULD HAVE A CONSTITUTION, detailing it's legal & moral obligations & duties, also governing it's use & limits. like any good institution it should be clear of any political affiliations.

my friend, when you have 37m 'fake' enteries in the ballot register how can u have fair and free elections. it is not the job of the ISI to hold elections but the EC and its election structure is so incompetent and corrupt, that the govt has no other alternative other than ask the army/ISI to supervise the elections. damned if it does, damned if it dosnt.

by the way, the only 'free and fair election' in our history was held in 1970 by the army! - food for thought!

in india they are using 'electronic balloting' - why dont we do the same - u know why? - it will give a different result.

IMO, Gen Pasha shd resign voluntarily! - he shd set an example for future!

th IB is the civilian version of ISI......

and the army can be brought in to hold free and fare elections but the same problems arise.....the parties will bribe somebody!!

Did CIA hide OBL? What did his wife say about it?

Did CIA hide OBL? What did his wife say about it?

How hard it is for CIA to have forced wives into saying what CIA wanted them to say,,,

You know one of the sons is missing since after the raid,,, as told by the wives... What if the wives were threatened to stick to CIA's narrative otherwise, wives'd have been told,,, son would be tortured/killed...!!!

Secondly,,, all statements from wives are coming thru western media,,, NOT from Pakistani sources directly... starnage!!! Pakistani media has been quoting western media.
