What's new

The Iran accord is going to change everything

What will happen WHEN Iran cheats ?
The exact thing happened after USA nuked innocent people of Hiroshima and Nakazaki!! Who the hell is US to tell Iran what to do or not to do? Those days are over baby... Iranians play soft... wait and enjoy the results as you enjoyed it in last 2 decades in the whole ME, SA, SEA, SA, etc

I won't give a shiiit if Iran one day announced a whole new underground town of ICBM nukes are ready to fire at US main land if Americans chooses to live the consequences... The whole world has nukes... US, ISrael, France and England are all natural enemies of the Iranian people and Persia and they are all armed with nukes... While having an IRan all surrounded by nuclear weapons in all 4 directions with a savage regime barking to do this and that every day and a regime who puts her nose into everybody's *** around the world, I will give all the credit to an Iran who one day decides to become a military capable nuclear state instead of only a nuclear-threshold state...

The affairs on this planet gets so funny when things are seen from one side... Iran never invaded another country in centuries and got through many imposed wars by devils...yet, the only regime who actually used NUKES on innocent people and another one who managed to attack numerous times in last decade (Israhell) is now playing the angel and claim Iran is the devil!!! This is the most stupid joke I have ever heard... Only Foxnews audience who happens to be all naive milking-cows can buy this propaganda shit of USA and their puppets

.
When? explain please .. moreover that's our money .

First, Suleimani traveling to Russia to plan their Syria action was a violation, he's under a U.N. travel ban, and Iran's ballistic missile tests about two weeks ago was another. As far as the money goes, F^ck your money !!:usflag:

You support ASSad, the guy who just a month ago used chemical weapons on his own people. NICE. @ss-wipes like you are STILL bent because we invented the nuke first. Japan or Germany would have used it on us if they were first. Remember Pearl Harbor !!!:usflag:

Soleimani travel if any is in violation of UN if it happened. Russia denies it and so does Iran but what you expect. There is no way to prove it. This is a minor thing. He is travelling to Syria and Iraq all the time. No body cares of this lame UN law by the way and they know it. Same as no body can do anything about USA funding terrorist organization in Syria and training an army against a UN state member to overthrow the regime! Or Saudi attacking Yemen with no legitimate UN mandate or reason or USA bombing civilians with UCAV's all over the ME. These are all violations but the politics of the region avoid any response and is accepted as is till powers decide.

Regarding 79. US did attempt a rescue and failed miserably resulting in Carter's humiliation and losing the presidential battle to Reagan. With USSR in the neighborhood that would have never happened or at least a full scale war with Iran was not in USA plate.

Regarding the ballistic test, it is not against JCPOA (the deal as said) as a difference in sentencing by Zarif's clever mastery made it possible. It is written in JCPOA that the test of any missile intended (designed) for Nuclear warhead ... the word intention makes this test pass the deal but violates the previous UN resolution on no missile work. The past UN resolutions will be over in 5 to 8 years and it is of no importance for the world community after the deal was made. I believe Iran needed this test to silence the critiques at home and I think 5+1 knows this as well. Why tear down the foundation when a glass is broken.

Regarding the chemical weapons in Syria and the attack, UN report and Russia's provided intelligence questioned the claim and it is illogical Assad put himself in PR spot light with all troubles he has internationally and locally. Russia provided evidence that it was fired from rebel positions but at the end Assad gave out all the chemical stockpiles . Your better argument would have been the barrel bombs ... may be try that one next!

As you see from today's Syria talk, Iran's participation made it possible to reach a 9 term solution for Syria and KSA warmongers were silenced. Basically KSA accepted to a democratic test in Syria with Bashar Assad in the elections as well. These are the deals the 5+1 is hoping Iran can participate and help in resolving the insane situation inflamed by KSA, Turkey and Persian gulf states.

The shadowy Iranian Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani recently visited Moscow to meet with senior Russian leaders, according to two Western intelligence sources, despite a travel ban and UN Security Council resolutions barring him from leaving Iran.

On July 24, one week before Secretary of State John Kerry testified to the Senate Armed Services Committee and faced questions about the newly struck nuclear deal, Soleimani arrived in Moscow for meetings with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and President Vladimir Putin. It was not immediately clear what the Iranian leader discussed, but the revelation comes as the United Nations and European Union arms embargo against Iran is slated to be lifted in five years as part of the comprehensive nuclear agreement announced July 14 from Vienna.

Soleimani was first designated a terrorist and sanctioned by the US in 2005 for his role as a supporter of terrorism. In October 2011, the US Treasury Department tied Soleimani to the failed Iranian plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States at a popular restaurant in Washington, DC. The Quds Force is the special forces external wing of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, responsible for supporting terrorist proxies across the Middle East. It reports directly to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Soleimani is increasingly being recognized as a key player and point person as Iranian influence in the region grows, despite assurances from Kerry and others that Soleimani and the Quds Force will continue to face sanctions from the US Treasury after UN sanctions are lifted against Soleimani as part of the nuclear deal.

Soleimani arrived in Moscow on Air Iran Flight 5130, a commercial flight from Tehran, at 6:50 a.m. July 24, a Friday. He left Moscow the following Sunday, July 26, at 10:25 p.m. on Flight 5120, according to Western intelligence sources.

UN sanctions have not yet been lifted against Iran, and Soleimani, as head of the Iranian Quds Force, is sanctioned as part of Security Council Resolution 1747. He is prohibited from traveling, and any country that lets him transit or travel is defying the sanctions. (Russia is a permanent member of the Security Council and would have been aware of this restriction when meeting with him.)

Soleimani has been photographed during recent battles against the Islamic State in Iraq leading troops and advising Iranian-backed Shia militias, most notably in the battle for Tikrit in March.

Apart from his official meetings in Moscow, Soleimani reportedly had some “fun time” built into his schedule that involved Russian entertainment.

Outgoing US Army Chief of Staff Gen. Ray Odierno characterized the Iranian general in an exclusive exit interview with Fox News: “Qassem Soleimani is the one who has been exporting malign activities throughout the Middle East for some time now. He’s absolutely responsible for killing many Americans, in fact I would say the last two years I was there, the majority of our casualties came from his surrogates, not Sunni or al Qaeda.”

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), a former Army infantry officer and Iraq war veteran, asked Marine Corps Gen. Joseph Dunford, the next chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, at his confirmation hearing how many Americans were killed by Iranian-backed forces under the command of Soleimani.

“The number has been recently quoted as about 500. We weren’t always able to attribute the casualties we had to Iranian activity, although many times we suspected it was Iranian activity even though we didn’t necessarily have the forensics to support that,” Dunford said to lawmakers on July 15.

Cotton then asked Kerry on July 29, five days after the Iranian leader’s Moscow visit, about Soleimani receiving sanctions relief.

Kerry responded: “Under the United States’s initiative, Qassem Soleimani will never be relieved of any sanctions.”

Russia investigated and found that Assad didn't use C.W.'s ? Well gee, who could have predicted that ? You know what ? You've convinced me. Russia, Putin, Iran, the ayatollah are all trust-worthy guys who have just gotten a bad rap. I'm sure they'll ALL live up to the terms of this great deal.:usflag:

well I said if he traveled he violated the UN and so did USA, KSA , UAE, UK .. in many occasions. some affecting the world more than some others.

Regarding CW the point is it is not that clear who did that. Logic says Assad would not want to clear the path for foreign intervention and USA invasion and is doubtful he would do it and Russia's claim is possible although there may be factions in Syrian regime that might have done that as well. Anyway it is a totalitarian regime and all totalitarian regime require brutality to stay on.

The point of all this discussion is, USA needs high moral ground to affect politics in the region and also needs clear understanding of it. Unfortunately the Republican stereotypes is not helping their cause and is backfiring in the region. What they are clinging on to prove their point is not working and they should change the talk. A talk working for USA public is not working for the region problems.

I received an email from Senator Mc Cain two days ago regarding my opposition to his sympathy of NRC and MKO and that they should oppose MKO as all in Iran are against them and is counter productive. His argument in the email was again listing Iran deal with all you had written and that they use all tools to stop it. He basically saying to stop Iran deal he is willing to use MKO terrorist group against Iran which is evil. The mentality that anything to push your agenda is not working in world stage and in ME. Republicans and the American politicians should know this already that their short sighted approach and wrong or false propaganda lines may work in American public specially the tea party members but not internationally and certainly not in the ME. It should be correct, precise and striking ME nerves at the same time. USA needs to win the soft power to succeed in long term. With soft power your force is multiplied thousand times. You will change governments without a single bullet and that is what Khamneie is scared of! Soft power! and Moral higher ground that no one can argue with even the 25% hardliners backing Iranian regime or the 38% which overall would not mind the way Iran is being handled.

America should pressure on:
Human rights, Minority rights, Women rights, political activists rights ... and see the sea of young human activist change things an not the nationalistic sensitive issue were most Iranians will back the government and certainly not a military intervention like 79 not taking sides with GCC and Persian gulf corrupt states.

Without questioning Islam, question the essence of it (man made rules) in the laws imposed on Iranian people and the region, this is more scary in regime eyes than anything but first we need to get rid of ISIS and sectarian conflict as it undermines everything.

suleymani went to Russia ? When ? Russia is one of the countries which put travel ban on him , if he ever go to Russia then they will be the first ones who will arrest him. More importantly you may have doubt in Russian army but I have faith that they have enough military genius of themselves to design the campaign for themselves not Mr. Suleymani who never ever designed an air campaign .About the missile test well can you tell me that test that solely designed to reduce collateral and civilian damage of our missiles violated which of unsc resolutions ?

did the article actually proved any of it's claim or it's just another girlish fantasy nightmare ? By the way if its true then its not us who violated unsc resolution . its Azerbaijan and Georgia your two close friends for allowing him passage through their country twice and Russian another country who put travel ban on him for receiving it. You see these travel bans won't tell the guy from travelling they just tell other countries to not allowing him passage or entry and if he tried doing so arrest him . so here others are in violation not us.

@Siavash I don't see why missile test is violation of in security council as it's not against the latest resolution and that resolution voided all previous ones and it only ask nicely of Iran not to test missiles intended to carry nuclear weapons it even don't enforce that. And that missile was clearly a move toward precision strike not a move toward brute force .

probably you are right, I am not 100% sure, the ban is going to be lifted in 5 to 8 years, it is believed that the content will be still applicable, that makes the change in the text redundant which is contrary to what Zarif would do with all his intelligence which makes your conclusion more logical. I have to search what Zarif or any Iranian diplomats say but this might be the understanding that USA had by referring Iran to sec. council after the test. Anyway USA administration is not the master of the events in this case. I bet they even didn't notice the change in the content at the time or they would have prevented it or they understood no missile with nuclear intention design after the ban is lifted. Either we have to find what Zarif has said about it or wait the security council review on it. If what Zarif put in the text is what it should refer to then it is a big bummer for the administration! They lost it big time!

definitely not a nuclear design intention and a precision missile which they know already.

Anyway not that it is important at all these days with all going on.

He has good points, seems a reasonable guy. He is worried it might not get implemented and hopes it does!

First of all the so-called "Veto right" and also permanent membership of a handful number of countries including the USA would make the UNSC galaxy away from being a well-balanced and fair council (kind ov modern dictatorship), therefore referring to such a council is not that much appropriate ... For example years ago when British SBS entered Iran's water in Persian gulf and they were arrested by IRGCN, England decided to pass a resolution against Iran in the council ... isn't funny? you enter another country territories and meanwhile play victim? and it's show how this council works ....
Or when You bypassed the council and attacked Iraq ..
Or why don't you ask israel to implement the UNSC resolution demanding 1967 Palestine's borders?including Quds?

On missile test , Iran’s missile test is no violation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action at all and there is no reference in the JCPOA to Iran’s defensive power, including missiles. even the latest resolution passed by the council i.e. "resolution 2231" seeks to restrict only “activity related to ballistic missiles designed to be capable of delivering nuclear weapons not Iran missile program .....

By the way Iranian would do what they think is true that's why we kicked your a$$es out of our country back in 1979 .

Look I am no fan of ayatollah regime but you say mentioned in par as NK and Zimbabwe as if the non-aligned countries or most of UN is naming that. It is only USA and his few puppets! Gosh wake up and see that USA is not all of the world! Who cares if an AIPAC influenced nut heads in congress or senate like Tom Cotton or "abused in childhood" Lindsey Graham or even the State Department of USA calls Iran a pariah state! Who in the world gives a damn thing about it! Cut the tea party crap. It sounds stupid.

May be it is because my background. I meet Iranians quite often and I have a perspective from them that Iran is quite a developing country with good industry and human resource. It is not an under developed or a poor country.....so for me there was no surprise.....But for others who rely on Fox News only, they might have that condition as described in that article.

I didn't watch the link but you are probably right. The western ignorant rednecks look at Tehran and see we have cars instead of camels and they see jeans, and they go "OH MY GOD!!! THAT'S IRAN???"

Well, fck them. Who needs their approval.
