I don't know what you watched! But if you could watch what his audience watched, you probably would have reached the same conclusion as the author seems an unbiased guy with good understanding of the region. The author doesn't show what he showed others, but explains it in the article.

From what I understood from the article he compares Iran as a nation to rest of middle east from social aspects and reaches some conclusions which you better read yourself. His emphasize is on how it is misrepresented and how the future may go. The article has so many parts but it is glued together very artistically that the reader is brought from one topic to other with skill and persuaded to read further.

If you had read the article you would have noticed this is the the first two lines of its opening. There is a comment section in the article and currently has no comments. May be you like to post your question there and see what people may answer. If you get some interesting replies post us as well.

May be it is because my background. I meet Iranians quite often and I have a perspective from them that Iran is quite a developing country with good industry and human resource. It is not an under developed or a poor country.....so for me there was no surprise.....But for others who rely on Fox News only, they might have that condition as described in that article.

It is not a US deal, it is 5+1 and that isolated 1, would be USA instead of Iran if that happens. I don't think Republicans like to be isolated instead of Iran. Anyway by that time the ship has long sailed. If you want something better for your cause (AIPAC cause and Neo Cons cause) you better think something innovative and genuine to harm Iran. AIPAC some Republicans and Democrats lost the deal to NIAC, J street and the Europeans. For their own sake they need to move on and find a better move or get isolated further. No Republican senator would be able to do a thing to this deal if elected. Don't raise your hopes. It is over. Your only bet is to have the states enforce the sanctions unilaterally. It is hard to break that. Even that will cause major stir if public are driven to pay attention to it and it is not very hard to do that in USA. A little money and a cause is sufficient to make that happen.
