The Indian State Where Everyone Eats Beef

.
This is a word to describe Page 3 south Indian movies. The people of Kerala are Malayalees or Malabarees; Keralites are not "Mallus".

Indians uses these kind of stupid names for every community. Gujju, Gulte, Bong, C-ingy etc etc.

.
I am from Kerala and I Know my friends includes all major religions are eating Beef regularly

. .
Kerala seems to be the model state for every region in South Asia to follow. High literacy rates, good level of development, good family planning and tolerance.

. . .
As a mallu born n brought up outside Kerala, I never knew that beef is eaten in Kerala. We only had fish, mutton n chicken in our house. May be that was due to the North Indian influence. As I grew up and started taking interest in cuisine of my native state, I came to know about it.

Yes, beef is a non issue in Kerala. No political party can take mileage out of it. That explains just 1 seat of BJP even after so much campaining by star leaders of BJP.

Read this article again.

The whole article is whining of a Christian as to how their glorious, bestest, necter of Jesus, holiest of all dishes -Beef fry- is losing importance, how difficult it is to find good quality beef fry, and how nowadays only 7% people eat beef regularly compared to 60% who eat fish regularly, and how beef in local fiery style is a tradition worth carrying on.

It conveys an opposite sense of what you are stating (though I am sure the author never wanted it that way).
You have to know because of demand of beef it rate raised to 300 and up and its not a price that a lot of middle class can pay but we buy it every week and buy beef items from hotels once a week

We are talking about violence between different religious groups. Unemployment can be blamed on the ministers responsible for the economic development of the state. I don't think unemployment is linked with secularism.

I dream that one day Pakistan can have a similar or slightly modified version of secularism that Kerala today practices.
As a keralite I can give you how parties in wedding work
1) Christians dont complant about not getting beef in hindu wedding or about pork in Muslim programs
2) and in christian's functions Christians remove pork from muslims plate if it is needed (some muslims eats pork too in kerala)
3) at least 50 or more vegetarian plate is readied for vegetarian hindus in christian functions

Any Visitors leaving without eating food because negligence of above mentioned ruels
Can cause shame for part organising families

Used Christian as example because Christians eat everything non vegetarian and pork

I am from Assam and we also don't care about what others eat. While most Hindus in Assam don't eat beef (although almost all of them are non vegetarians otherwise), no one really cares if someone else does. Brittle "religious feelings" that get hurt so often are mostly found in North India. BTW I have eaten Kerala beef fry and it's delicious.

I am of Hakka descent, does that make me a Mallu as well?
“有阳光的地方就有华人, 有华人的地方就有客家人”, which literally means "Wherever there is sunshine, there will be Chinese. Wherever there are Chinese, there will be Hakka." :-)

Did you know that Hakka have emigrated to many regions worldwide? to Taiwan,India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand etc etc.
When Hakka came to India they realised that the only place where they could get a lot of meat, including beef, was in Kerala. So many of them moved to Kerala and adopted the mallu culture. Thus, Hakka became mallu.

Ps:
Made up story, pls don't take it seriously. :P

This may be a Saffron propaganda. The Pariahs and the locals are known for beef eating habits. Nambudiris and other brahmins and some Nair clans may have been not eating beef, but the rest are almost all beef eaters.
Afaik the story is same everywhere, most of the male members of the family, irrespective of their caste, eat beef.

"Beef Khao, Sanghi ko Bhagao" - Gau Maamsa - athi-vishistha, athi-swadishta
Vegetarianism has its benefits.
