good. now go get your days pay.
Because of their authoritarian political systems, China, as well as Taiwan and South Korea in their nondemocratic phases, could push through sweeping reforms that helped establish the foundation for rapid industrialization and economic growth
DURING THE past two decades in particular, Indian leaders have looked beyond their immediate neighborhood and adopted a more ambitious strategy. The “Look East” policy, a case in point, seeks to expand and deepen India’s presence in East Asia so that China does not have a free hand in shaping the strategic and institutional landscape there. More to the point, it is designed to strengthen security ties with the Asian countries located around China’s perimeter, particularly those unnerved by the prospect of a Pax Sinica and anxious about America’s staying power and the narrowing gap in power between the United States and China.
"Apart from the rhetorical flourishes and the impressive hyperbole, this "Rant" (as that is the most appropriate term to use for intellectually shallow and perfunctory statistical comparisons) is comical.
Comparing India's "merchandised trade" with China - the factory of the world is farcical given that China has spent 4 decades building up its industrial ability and has a greater industrial base than even the USA or Europe, where as India hasn't even started down that path. Same goes with the bizarre lament that FDI "per capita" for India compared to Thailand or Malaysia is low - which is silly considering that Malaysia is an oil producer and Thailand is the major industrial and automotive manufacturer for entire SE Asia which is a MUCH larger marketplace than India. Investment is driven by value of a marketplace - not the number of people in the market. This is basic economics, yet casually ignored by this "Eminent scholar".
The most comical and unabashedly juvenile "analysis" in this rant comes at the end, when he wades into the security/military sphere where his ignorance and almost child-like comparisons between nations only engender pity.
It takes serious courage to make public your ignorant ramblings so easily for all the world to see."

What's wrong with an Indian writing an article about India?
You Indians always utter two things when you run out of argument: 1. We are free! 2. You 50c army!
Bye now, you are "free" to be an idiot my friend
Hmmm... Ramesh Menon. Sounds and smells like a Mallu commie.
Do Tell more...however before we begin :
1. You still need impprovement with your english.
2. You need to quit the fitty cent army. Get a distance course degree, do a certification. it will be better. i have hope for you, my friend.
I said "you are free to be an idiot". Which part of that is not perfect English? English is not my native language. Unlike you who take pride in being fluent in the language of your masters, I just use it as a tool to communicate.
Your 50c accusation is so ridiculous that I won't even bother to counter. Only fools like you believe that garbage. But since being a fool seems to be your choice, perhaps you should consider getting it certified. Shouldn't be hard because the likes of you are in such an abundance in the big (toilet) free country of yours.
