@Broccoli

For the 75 years of the start of winter war,i really want to post the history of this couraegous and strong sniper. :)

Simo Häyhä aka “The White Death” is widely regarded as the most hardcore sniper there ever was, with over 500 kills to his name. He helped defend his homeland from the Soviets during World War II. Here is his story.

Well if you go by the records then this man achieved much more than his famed counterpart Mr.Vassili Zaitsev.He had a confirmed kill of over 700 Red Army soldiers and officers while Mr.Zaitsev killed around 244 German soldiers although most of his victims were German officers as he used to target them specifically.

.
If I recall correctly , I might have read a book about his exploits

I like the finnish guy, but advantage Vassili- cutting the head of the hydra rather than the limbs has more effect.

Well you have got to give credit to Mr.Simo Hayha because he was fighting against a force which was more than 50 times stronger than his own.He showed extreme courage in face of overwhelming odds and continued to torment the enemy.You know there is a story that the Soviet supreme commander angered by the actions of Mr.Simo ordered an entire battalion strong Red Army special operation force to specifically track and kill this man as he was increasingly taking a toll on the morale of the Red Army troopers but even they couldn't stop this man as he went on to became the greatest sniper in the history of modern warfare.

As far I know Häyhä killed around 300 people with rifle and others he killed with "Suomi" machine gun.

Another similar guy was Viljam Pylkäs who killed 83 Russians (enemy KIA's were counted after battle) with Suomi machine gun when those Russians tried to attack his guard position what was located in a small hill during the winter when there was deep snow. Pylkäs himself suffered a head wound in the battle.

This scene in 1955 movie "Unknown soldier" was inspired by it.

Interesting fact about Mr Hayha, which hasn't been mentioned, is that he never used a scope, just iron sights...

Which makes his achievements all the more impressive. Extremely impressive actually.

Thats exactly the reason which gave him the advantage over the Russians. Several of the commie snipers he moked out were given away by a glint of light reflecting off the lenses of their scopes. His knowledge of the forests and his enduring patience were added advantages.
