What's new

The head of Russia’s space program, Dmitry Rogozin, said Moscow will quit #InternationalSpaceStation.

Doom of ISS and US permanent presence in space! SpaceX has not enough time to complete a core capsule or space station substitute in just short 2 years time.

China will surely ban any US presence in our space station until they apologize or strike off WOLF.

Two years ? Isn't it withdrawal in one year from now ? And is it possible for Russia to train the Western bloc astronauts in maintaining the space station and keeping it in orbit ? @Hamartia Antidote, SpaceX was claiming to keep ISS maintained, you think it can do it ?

Certainly there is a time constraint but the US is already designing all the components for a moon orbiting spacestation so maybe funds can be diverted to adding a piece to the ISS.

But this may all be moot because if a Starship makes it into orbit you can just basically transform one of them into a huge space station.

Wouldn't even need the fins or header tank.

The core module belongs to Russian. They want to separate from ISS. US only paid service for Russia core module. They do not own them.

Lol.. you mean in 2 years time and we can see something like this? Not even China can do it that fast and you think with US blickering or spending more money on war can come up with these in less than 2 years time?

.
They can be a solution. Biden apologize to Russian and remove sanction against them. I believe that will happened. Between kneeling to Chinese or Russian. American will choose later.

NASA cannot afford to lose permanent presence on space and let Chinese take the lead. It's a bitter pill worst than Pearl Harbour attack.

. . . .
You mean to US?

ESA and Russia can join China space station and NASA has no where to go. Russia will surely deorbit their core module and you think a core module can be produced in less than 2 years time?

ISS is doomed.

No sorry. We have our own plans and those involve neither china nor russia

Lol.. ESA plan is to join Chinese space station. That left poor american left out of anything in space.

And please don't brag about a US space station can be build and launch in less than 2 years time.

And please don't put on a brave front. Fantasy and cheap talk are far from reality.

Stop reading your Chinese media's fakeNews

Let's hear what ESA says not Chinese media gibberish targeting the weak-minded.

The space Gateway is the next structure to be launched by the partners of the International Space Station.
During the 2020s, the spaceship will be assembled and operated in the vicinity of the Moon, where it will move between different orbits and enable the most distant human space missions ever attempted.

Russia says she will only quit by 2024.

She should immediately stop all her mission to ISS by the middle or end of this year.
