The Greatest Islamic Empire - Ones that brought Islam to Pakistan Genghis K

these past tyrants ,robbers , pirates , invaders and mass murderers have only damaged Islam ... these people in our history books have spread Islam with sword to achive empires wealth and attain kingdomship ... none of them have truly spread islam by charachter which the Prophet proposed and spread. Glorifying such people will only portray a negative image

I dont understand how people how claim to be Muslims can glorify one of the biggest murderers of Muslims in history. Well maybe thats just me.

Mongol or similar blood lines from near lake Baikal region is there in the elite of Japan, Korea, China, Central Asia, South Asia, Russia and to some extent Iran. Blood is always thicker than water, as you probably know. It is also similar to Jewish blood lines.
All people are relatives. But we talking about specific guy - Gengis Khan.

I think you are smart enough to figure out the answer of this question.

We Pakistanis should understand that, yes, Genghis had some very bad traits within him (and God is the judge of that), but also consider positive facts about him.

- He never allowed idols or worship of himself.

- He was tolerant of all religions.

- He adopted Islam as the state religion of the Mongol empire.

- If not for him, we would be a semi-Buddhist semi-Hindu semi-Islam nation.

Well its simple

1. Gengiz eventhoug he wasnt muslim he had more muslim charasteristics than those others lyiers/sinners and cowards who called themselves muslims.

2. I as a Turk am proud to have them as our relatives.

Ps: mongolian Yassa= Yasa in Turkish= law, order, code etc

.
- And not to mention that when the British would come, we would not demand freedom because we would be Hindus, and Buddhists, so there wouldn't be a Pakistan at all.

Its not racial thing, if that was the case i should hate them too as they've also massacred many Turks, but the question is; will u support your guilty brother or his rightious enemy?

I'm always with the rightious thats all.

Btw that i choose to support the rightious is also a Turkic/ Mongol code it seems different than semitic ones which is totally different way of thought.

I think having Pakistan or Bangladesh was not good. If there was no partition in 1947, we could have this obnoxious Hindu Nationalism in check from within India, with the force of our democratic vote and ballot box. Now they can point nukes at us and cut off our water and do all kinds of stealth machination on us. Even so, with correct geopolitics we will get over this difficulty in time.

Many in South Asia may disagree, but that is just my personal views about a hypothetical situation.

You say that like he crossed the street on red light or stole a candy from grocery store. He brutally murdererd hundreds of thousands if not millions your fellow Muslims civilians. He is one of the reasons why Muslim world is in so poor condition today.

He brutally murdererd hundreds of thousands if not millions innocent Chinese, your allies.

How can you glorify him?

No he did not. Go back to school.

While we are in imagination land...let's pretend Rome and the British Empire were Islamic too!

How the Mongols came into Islam | My Ummah .co.za

Jamal was a Persian who was travelling through the Middle Kingdom or Chaghatay Khanate known for its animosity toward Muslims. With his small band of travellers he mistakenly travelled through the game preserves of the Mongol Prince Tuqluq. Jamal was arrested and brought before Tuqluq. In his anger the prince told Jamal that a dog was worth more than a Persian. Jamal replied, “Yes. If we did not have the true faith, we would indeed be worse than dogs.” Tuqluq was struck by the reply. He inquired what Jamal meant by the true faith. When Jamal explained the message of Islam Tuqluq was convinced. He asked Jamal for some time to unite the fractured Middle Kingdom and then he would proclaim his faith. Jamal returned home and later fell ill. As he was dying, he instructed his son Rasheed to remind the prince of his promise when he became king. When Tuqluq ascended the throne Rasheed set out to meet him. An ordinary person had little access to royalty and after many efforts Rasheed risked his life to enact a plan. He called out the adhan at fajr nearby the royal compound. He was brought before the king and there he invited him to fulfill his promise. On that very morning Tuqluq Timur Khan, king of the unified Middle Kingdom, became a Muslim.

Religion in the Mongol Empire - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mongols were highly tolerant of most religions, and typically sponsored several at the same time. At the time of Genghis Khan in the 13th century, virtually every religion had found converts, from Buddhism to Christianity and Manichaeanism to Islam. To avoid strife, Genghis Khan set up an institution that ensured complete religious freedom, though he himself was a shamanist. Under his administration, all religious leaders were exempt from taxation, and from public service.[1] Mongol emperors were known for organizing competitions of religious debates among clerics, and these would draw large audiences.
Initially there were few formal places of worship, because of the nomadic lifestyle. However, under Genghis's successor Ögedei, several building projects were undertaken in he Mongol capital of Karakorum. Along with palaces, Ogedei built houses of worship for the Buddhist, Muslim, Christian, and Taoist followers. The dominant religions at that time were Shamanism, Tengriism and Buddhism, although Ogodei's wife was a Christian.[2] In later years of the empire, three of the four principal khanates embraced Islam, as Islam was favored over other religions.[3][4][5] The Yuan Dynasty mainly adopted Tibetan Buddhism while there were other religions practiced in the east of the Mongol Empire.

Some Gengiz Khan quotes:

“I am the punishment of God...If you had not committed great sins, God would not have sent a punishment like me upon you.”

“It is not sufficient that I succeed – all others must fail.”

“As my calling is high, the obligations incumbent upon me are also heavy; and I fear that in my ruling there may be something wanting.”

“Heaven grew weary of the excessive pride and luxury of China… I am from the Barbaric North. I wear the same clothing and eat the same food as the cowherds and horse-herders. We make the same sacrifices and we share.. our riches. I look upon the nation as a new-born child and I care for my soldiers as though they were my brothers.”

“I will rule them by fixed laws so that rest and happiness shall prevail in the world.”

“If unable to abstain from drinking, a man may get drunk three times a month; if he does it more than three times he is culpable; if he gets drunk twice a month it is better; if once a month, this is still more laudable; and if one does not drink at all what can be better? But where can I find such a man? If such a man were found he would be worthy of the highest esteem.”

“A man’s greatest work is to break his enemies, to drive them before him, to take from them all the things that have been theirs, to hear the weeping of those who cherished them.”

“Perhaps my children will live in stone houses and walled towns – Not I”.

“With Heaven’s aid I have conquered for you a huge empire. But my life was too short to achieve the conquest of the world. That task is left for you”

“Those who were adept and brave fellows I have made military commanders. Those who were quick and nimble I have made herders of horses. Those who were not adept I have given a small whip and sent to be shepherds.”

“One arrow alone can be easily broken but many arrows are indestructible.”

“In the space of seven years I have succeeded in accomplishing a great work and uniting the whole world in one Empire.”

“Be of one mind and one faith, that you may conquer your enemies and lead long and happy lives.”

“Despite all expectations, the time of my last campaign and of my passing is near. I wish to die at home. Let not my end disarm you, and on no account weep for me, lest the enemy be warned of my death.”

“Say ye unto the Khwarezmians that I am the sovereign of the sunrise, and [he is] the sovereign of the sunset. Let there be between us a firm treaty of friendship, amity, and peace, and let traders and caravans on both sides come and go.”

I am not glorifying him, rather thanking him for his help in many things to happen in this generation.

And yes, he did adopt Islam as the state religion of his empire - which was later reversed once the empire fell.

Typical trash talk to create division. If you stand in front of a locomotive you get crushed, its better to step away.

One must blame their own fault for their failure, we can never blame others for destroying us, if we are weak and not prepared.

And judging medieval war fare tactics with today's morality is not going to work. We cannot imagine the full scope of the world these people lived in.

Cengiz is no doubt one of the greatest militaty leaders ever to have lived but trying to gain inspiration from his as a Muslim is not that easy. His struggles as a child, his literally rags to riches story though impressive has many dark sides to it.

Steven R. Ward wrote that "Overall, the Mongol violence and depredations killed up to three-fourths of the population of the Iranian Plateau, possibly 10 to 15 million people. Some historians have estimated that Iran's population did not again reach its pre-Mongol levels until the mid-20th century."

Of course in warfare people die, but the level of destruction the Mongol armies brought to their conquered people is truly unprescedented. From that point of view it is pretty hard to gain any sort of inspiration from him as a Muslim.
