U r saying that u don't support the cops actions...while also giving a justification that bcuz the guy was uncooperative...it was as much his ego that got him killed.I don't know, could be. You can ask him that question not me, because (nauzubillah) I'm not God who could see behind the scenes where there was no video.
Again, I'm not justifying cops move. And I support neither of the 2.
Would u like to discuss the law? The cop's responsibilities? The justice system? Restraining tactics? Physiological limits of the body?
To answer all of the above...
...regardless of the criminal activities of the suspect...once he/she is restrained(as he was...handcuffed and pinned on the ground by 3 of the 4 cops)...the police officer CANNOT choke the suspect to death. The duty of the police officer is to restrain the suspect, gather evidences, and present him/her in front of the courts...and not be the JUDGE/JURY/EXECUTIONER. Police officers are also aware of the generally accepted knowledge that 3 minutes of being cut off from oxygen causes brain death.
There is literally video proof of the police officer using excessive force against the guy who clearly posed no threat after he was pinned down and handcuffed. Choking him for 9 minutes(by applying pressure on his neck with the knee)...ignoring his pleading that he can't breath...that is clearly use of excessive force that resulted in his death. This is a punishable crime...no ifs and buts about it.
