If I were to ask you who was the first nationalist, who would you say it be? Perhaps you would name a figure from thousands of years ago, or perhaps you would name a person from recent history, or maybe you wouldn't name anyone but rather give a different meaning altogether.

I present to you the first nationalist...

The venom mainly comes from first the Arabs and to some extent us Afghans, which was prompted a strong reaction from many PAK nationals. Very nicely put, nationalism is what destroyed the muslim khilafat and keeps dividing muslims to this day. The trick with nationalism is that its never ending divison. Start from race or country, then ethnicities, sub ethnicities, sects, sub sects, provincial nationalism, right down to district level nationalism and doesn't stop here.

So this is my take on this issue. Asabiyyah is more akin to tribalism, although some say nationalism is its latest manifestation. True it is in most cases.

However Pakistan is different due to Islamic Nationalism, that is the view that Islam and Muslim identity constitutes a distinct one from Non-Muslims.

I see Pakistan's future border all the way north to Central Asia, this is my aspiration. To see Pakistan as a major power.

Ofcourse, now baby steps in the right direction are the need of the hour. May Allah swt bless hands of Imran Khan and COAS Bajwa.

Nationalism is a curse. However there are an overwhelming majority of Muslims who think nationalism is something equal to Islam.

It's all thanks to our colonial masters. They divided us into little pieces of land then made us fight each other.

You can see how there are many Muslims who proudly mock Ummah concept Nauzbillah.

Alama Iqbal had said something for these nationalistic Pakistanis

Jo Pairhan Iss Ka Hai, Woh Mazhab Ka Kafan Hai

Country, is the biggest among these new gods!
What is its shirt is the shroud of Deen (Religion)

You can see it clearly. Pakistan over Uighurs Muslims. It's unimaginable that our ancestors could have allied and become iron brothers with the kafirs who oppressed our Muslim brothers but thanks to nationalism, Pakistanis can only see Pakistan and they don't feel anything for Muslims elsewhere.

If you read Iqbals poetry, imagine him being alive today and seeing how Pakistan behaves towards Uighurs, i wonder what his reaction would be?

All the greatest empires were never nationalistic. They attracted the best and brightest from all ethicities and cultures.

Well, you accept that the Pakistani state does place ranks out of the Muslims. That is why a pious Muslim from Kandahar cannot get Pak citizenship but a Hindu from Thar Parker can. This means the Pakistani state is goiing against the very fundamental of Islam. That all believers are equal. Thus it has no right to place that prefix "Islamic Republic of". It ought to be just "Republic of" which at least would be th truth.
