After reading your post I have formed an impression of you at first sight.. and I don't think honestly anything you do in the future will change my impression of you ...

I hope this helps!!!

no its not true... that first impression is the last impression..

however what if Allah gives you only one chance to leave an impression?

e.g. you get to meet someone only once and then you never see them again... then that first impression becomes the last impression and counts a lot.. :)

philosophy zayada ho gaye shaid :what: lol

I think I will not really care (at lease conciously try to do anything etc) what an impression I leave on a person who I perceive will never meet again nor with whom I have a "degree of connection" .. aka a porter I meet at a railway station, a gentlemen sitting with me on a short bus ride, person in front of me in queue... etc. etc..

we humans generally form opinions with our first interaction, and sometimes before it..

a simpler example some one with an avatar of a Pakistan flag burning or a pornographic picture for eg. will be not seen favourably and most often banned even w/o posting his first post... (though that person may be trying to attract attention, is not a person but a bot, is trying to be funny etc. etc.)

the opinion that we form often in first interaction is generally lasting till we don't get more closer/intimate etc. with the person.. then we may lower our conscious "walls" and interact freely etc... and the fact that we may want to get more intimate or forge a relationship with the other fellow can also be due to the impression we form of the other in first interaction...

Though at times we may go beyond our first opinion... but this happens but not very often...

The first impression IS the last impression. Good or bad.

After that its a slow process of conditioning.

we often have first impressions of people that are not very solid. sometimes we honestly dont know what we think of someone, or we dont even have much of an impression of them, and hence, our impression is likely to change once we get to know them.

sometimes even a solid impression can be changed by a single event or a chain of events. people often show us what they want us to see, rather than what they truly are. its called a suggestion. i have a friend who is an exceptionally nice guy when just him and i are hanging out together, but the moment a third person, especially a girl, comes into the picture, he acts like a real jerk, always dissing me and trying to show off. the first time i met him was at a party where i thought he was a show off and a total whacko. later, when we did a play together for christmas and had to spend a lot of time rehearsing together at his house, i realised that he was a really nice guy and my impression of him changed. now i can take his showing off in good grace and see it as a joke rather than something i hate.

It is not easy to find a true friend. So i never make any impression in my mind quickly. I stay for some time, and gradually know about him and make some impression. I think it is very slow to find a friend but i think you will save yourself from a big mistake when you will find any guy IDIOT.

And someone say "First impression is the last impression" but this is not true every time.

You couldn't put it any better however my take is a bit rough & more in touch with reality that is simply i don't believe about the @ first sight thing its simply mental obsession used in a very self destructive way to be honest its all about options & above all "OPPORTUNITY" in that case yes no doubt The first impression is indeed the last & final impression:azn:

Few have strength of reason to overrule the perceptions of sense, and yet fewer have curiosity or benevolence to struggle long against the first impression: he who therefore fails to please in his salutation and address is at once rejected, and never obtains an opportunity of showing his latest excellences or essential qualities.

Early impressions are hard to eradicate from the mind. When once wool has been dyed purple, who can restore it to its previous whiteness?

You never get a second chance to make a first impression.
Don't be deceived by first impressions.
