For something made from Pakistani materials, does ~80 km/hr (he said testing reached up to 120 km/hr) and does 0-60 in 9 sec (kinda high), isn't it expensive at 150k pkr?? And he said it'll go to 200k pkr after the initial sale of 3k units...

If you are thinking this is too advanced then you really have no idea of the level of R&D work in Pakistan. The problem is such projects are limited in scale and the people working on them don't get due attention and appreciation from stupid elites.

Another thing I want to say is that this youtuber (Azad Chaiwala) has a habit of exaggerating things. (Though I won't blame him much on this issue since our chawal public won't listen to him if his channel doesn't have clickbaits). For example this 100% made in Pakistan claim is anything but reality and also we should not aim for 100% either. There is no other country who makes 100% of everything. Even economic superpowers US, China, Japan and Germany etc depend on other countries. We should opt for improved design products instead of just copy/paste manufacturing everything. Apple which is a US technical giant buys camera for their iPhone from Sony (a Japanese company) but this doesn't make Apple (or US) any inferior from Sony (or Japan). For several years, Iphone's CPU was made by their arch rival Samsung.

I really don't and this is a big problem. Nobody really knows apart from those in the field.

$100 per kWh, and less for really big buyers. You can get a very cheap scooter in China for $400-$500.

You get around 40km from kWh. The first any much usable range I believe is 80km, which means that you get at maximum USD $100-$200 for the rest of the scooter.

It's barely, barely doable. Imho, you have to move the price to at least USD $700 to get it to stage when it's good enough for people with money to consider.

If batteries will get to $50 per kWh for small buyers, than we can talk.

For now, from my experience across Asia, cheapest possible 150cc totally dominate 80%-90% of the market.

Who cares about electric stuff in Pakistan.

We can't get 24/7 electricity and suffer load shedding. To hell with electronics and those pushing for electronic cars.

And those lucky enough to have electricity can't even run AC which is considered a necessity but luxury in Pakistan.

Provide cheap and 24/7 electricity first then dream about electric cars.

Imagine running out of battery in electric car, you find a station but there's load shedding for 24 hours. What are you going to do then?

Reason other countries are pushing for electric is because electricity is cheap there and gas is expensive. And that green bullshit.

Pakistan congratules when coal power plants are made. We shouldn't think like west. We are in 1900s still struggling to make electricity

Graphene batteries are lithium batteries too, not a different material at all.

You just get graphene, instead of graphite for the anode.

I was watching a video of Azad Chaiwalla and he visited a factory in Lahore where a company has manufactured an electric motorbike from scratch. They've even got an R&D section working on Graphene batteries. I was impressed to see this. Should be hitting the market soon.

I didn't realise anyone was doing this sort of work in Pakistan, but it's exactly the type of work we need people to be doing. I wish them all the best.
