Back in the 90s Turkey was at best of terms with Europe, US and Israel and Russia was still a threat to everyone. Circumstances and interests change, this may look like it just happened, but you can bet your bottom penny this was planned out a long time ago.

Will you please tell me the difference between Refah party with Erbakan and AKP with Erdoğan?

Will you please tell me the difference between Refah party with Erbakan and AKP with Erdoğan?

there is a huge difference.. the edogan is someone who barks loud and acts with half heart and we do not know if he is payed by americans..

nah erbakan was more capable he new that if syria falls they would start to attack turkey

in one of his speeches he said something like if syria is being attacked the real target will be turkey..

also in this video he did say the right thing at 0:43 it descripes what erdogan fails with his european friends..

even if he had some mistakes.. he was aware of some of the enemy traps long ago

I hate to say this but say goodbye to south eastern Turkey within the next 20 years looking at our current situation in Turkey, Iraq, Syria.

no, turkey is fine the PKK are however established in syria and are gaining political foothold in iraq this is the dangerous thing for us. However i dont think that these people will get independent from iraq that is unlikely especially since u have iraq and all their weapon purchases they will be in a different lvl in 5 years. I think honestly that in Syria the kurds will loose big because they might be proped up by the west there but that is a temporary thing with the excuse of fighting ISIS. Once ISIS is gone things will turn different. I dont even think that the SAA will need TSK to elimante the PKK there in northern syria they are already strong enough to do that on their own. Also it is unlikely that the USAF will back which will decrease their life chances massively. Its however important that especially after what the WEST has done in regards to supporting the PKK that Turkey takes a very good look at their politics and actively blocks them from causing more mischief.

Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) attack in the southeastern province of Hakkari on Sept. 10.

PKK militants attacked military base areas in Hakkari’s Şemdili province with mortars from the Iraqi border, according to the Hakkari Governorate Office.

Their escape route was covered with fire following the attack, the statement said.

Meanwhile, four PKK militants were “neutralized” in air operation in the Zap region of northern Iraq. The authorities use the word “neutralized” to refer to militants who have been either killed, wounded or captured.

Four militants who were reportedly preparing to attack military base areas were neutralized in the air operation.

Moreover, numbers of ammunition and weapons, considered to belong to PKK militants were seized in an operation in the southeastern province of Mardin.

A total of 11 long-barreled weapons, 15 grenades, 38 chargers, eight assault vests and 100,000 cartridges were seized in Mardin’s Nusaybin district.

Turkish security forces “neutralized” 57 PKK militants nationwide last week, the Interior Ministry said on Sept. 11.

According to a ministry statement, security forces carried out 1,285 counter-terrorism operations from Sept. 4-10. Out of 57 militants, 39 were killed, three were caught alive and 15 surrendered to security forces, the statement added.

During the operations, there were 601 detentions, including 117 suspects for aiding and abetting the PKK terrorist organization, 27 linked to the Islamic State Iraq and the Levant (DAESH), 451 linked to the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) and six linked to leftist groups.

Eleven shelters and depots used by PKK militants and nine improvised explosives were destroyed in controlled detonations in the southeastern Muş, Bingöl, Tunceli, Hakkari and Şırnak provinces.

Security forces seized 12.5 kilograms (27 pounds) of bomb-making materials, 35 hand grenades, 4,527 pieces of various ammunition and 42 weapons—including 38 long—and heavy-barreled weapons.

There were a total of 1,374 anti-contraband operations and 1,883 suspects were captured in 76 provinces nationwide, the statement added.

Meanwhile, PKK militants killed a businessman in the southeastern province of Siirt late on Sept. 9, according to security sources.

The sources who spoke on conditions of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media said 62-year-old businessman, Mehmet Salih Arslan, was shot by PKK militants in front of his home in the village of Kemerli in the Siirt province’s Eruh district.

Arslan was critically wounded as a result of the attack and was taken to Siirt State Hospital, however, succumbed to his wounds in the hospital, the sources said.

The sources added that Arslan was threatened by PKK terrorists and that they kidnapped his son.

I hope it turns out that way. Referendum is close and I'm thinking that Iraq will declare war if it goes through. So things can take a huge turn and favour us as well. This mess is only beginning and I still have hope that maybe turkey is waiting for the exact right opportunity and maybe have been planning something crazy all this time.

The Central Iraqi government is right now in a war against ISIS and all of it's resources are put in fighting them. The Kurds have chosen exactly that day for the vote knowing that Iraq won't be able to react immediately if things escalate because in the next months, or a year Iraq has it's hands full with liberating the rest of the Daesh controlled lands. Barzani and KRG delegations are travelling from a country to country to ask for support in the referendum- I'm talking about EU countries, Middle eastern countries etc.
The guy you quoted probably hopes that when ISIS is finished the West and Russia will stop supporting the Kurds but he can't realize that they and their masters (the Jews and Israel who actually control the US, the UK, the EU and Russia) are totally for a controlled chaos in the Middle East because they win from all that. Kurds are the pawns they have this time- it's like a repeat of the WWI and the Western support for the Arabs against the Ottoman Empire.
By supporting a Greater Kurdistan they will win:
- More money from the weapons they sell.
- Control over the Oil and Natural gas fields and routes in the region.
- Creating a vassal state to their masters in Israel which is a threat to all of it's enemies in the region- Syria, Iraq, Iran and Turkey.
- Putting a terrorist state between the four countries will also isolate them from each other and will create more troubles for them. Troubles that will make them waste resources and will slow down their development.

If Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria are working together they can crush their aspirations yet with all the things that happened in the last years I don't see how that can happen. Nobody from the leaderships of the three countries trusts Turkey and Erdogan or wants to work with him and vice versa. Also it is hard to rebel against the ones who pull the strings when you are dependent on them in so many fields. You saw how fast Erdo got softer after the downed Russian plane and all the shitstorms that this brought the country.

A Kurdistan state benefits The US and Israel as it continues to divide the middle east with a new puppet state and both countries have openly supported it.
Iraq isnt going to go to war with KRG as they are tired and preoccupied with Isis, and im sure the Iraqi people and parliament dont want another war on its hand.
Iran is already under heavy sanctions even after the Nuclear deal, and as we have seen they are looking for more excuses to put more sanctions on Iran.
Syria has been at war for more than 5 years now and it would be near suicide to attack the US supported Kurds, it would just give another reason for the US to bomb the Syrian army.
Turkey is the only one who isnt in a major conflict or under heavy sanctions. The only problem Turkey has is that the US puts pressure on it sometimes to stop its activities against the kurds.
Realistically speaking only Turkey can act militarily on KRG. Turkey also cant work openly with Iran since Turkey is in nato and Iran is seen as an enemy of nato.

I have seen some of the PKK's video discussed earlier on this thread and some of them look fake to me. I can't read turkish or kurdish but it's too fishy :
The militants aren't shooted back. They don't show any corpses. They shoot at nothing sometimes. All I can see "turkish soldiers" in the distance, but they aren't covered, armed, and mostly not shooted back.

Maybe it was staged and filmed in Irak. It's just a theory...

Anyway, I think turkish army managed well to change its stategy toward PKK (and its security mesures in general, since there were no major attacks since the beginning of the year) while the militants didn't. PKK is starting the use new tactics like the grenades or shells launched from small drones but nothing relevant.
I can't link anything for now but it is clear that the turkish army losses greatly decreased compared to 2017.
