I have just checked MKEK web site, MKEK doesnt produce 106mm recoiless rifle! They produce 66mm antitank rocket.
If Turkey produce 66mm rocket why they use RPG-7? Turkey cant produce Carl Gustow or RPG copy??

I didnt see also 60mm mortars in the strreets. Behind the walls and top of the buildings a lot of terrorists?

We should compare RPG with Carl Gustaw and other recoiless rifles.
We shouldnt compare RPG with ERYX and TOWs.
ERYXs might be comparable with Russian Kornet ATGMs.
Unguided rockets are often used in Iraq,Afganistan by US.

I'm not specialist i am ordinary people but i can understand this: you should make suppressing fire on the terrority before your infantries enter.

Me too. Ok joke aside.
My heart was bleeding when I watched the amateur action of "braveheart" soldier ,
he was a possible Sharpshooter (dead meat) victim when he shot the RPG.
They motivated him heavily , he was not familiar with RPG. It was too much hurry and stress in the voice.
It was against all military rules I learned long ago.

Someone shouted : "Give him BIXI fire protection, go on the knees."

I AM PROUD WITH THE GUY, but not with his commander.

That Video is not good for reputation and OPSEC,
but was even published in all main Turkish papers and news TV.

You can shoot Eryx from closed rooms and buildings, well suited for Urban warfare.

Or give the platoon a tripod M40

If you don't want easy direct shot , take profis and triangulate a bit in calm.

I believe they are tired.

In Syria rebels use American TOWs and Chinese HJ-8.
But everybody uses SPG-9

It was an unsatisfying action. Uncoordinated and in hurry.

Today we lost 2 again specialists in SUR by sharpshooter / sniper attack. RIP
Nevertheless my respect to the "Brave-heart" soldier with the RPG.
If you want to give him fire suppression aid you can do it from different positions to confuse the sharpshooters/sniper.

Can you possibly confirm that those weapons are self made with Chinese scopes and not US Cal. 50 with Uranium depleted rounds as the newspaper claims.
An other newspaper claims that an M-60 was hit with TAC-50 / Barret Cal.50 with Uranium depleted ammo and the ammo inside exploded and killed 3 of our guys.

That would mean US or Russian Spec.Forces OP!
Even Iran has afaik , no Uran depleted ammunition.

The published photo of the terrorist is also from old 2012 archive.

I can't believe that US should have delivered PKK huge amounts of Kal.50 Barretts or TAC.50 and uran depleted rounds.
