This drop, quite clearly, is due to the fact that over the decade, the newly-formed nation-states exchanged populations; and in 1971, the Pakistani military deliberately executed an ethnic cleansing campaign against non-Muslims and Muslims.

Probably why they treated you differently. There’s nothing in Muslim community that preaches seperate cups or upper caste lower caste.

Urdu versus Bangla was the issue.

Compared to Bangladesh, Pakistan still is a more diverse multi ethnic nation. This would be one of the first instances where a bunch of more diverse inclusive people are called racist against the ones who chose racial identity as cases belli for secession.
