No offence, but Sharia is not going to help countries develop. My opinion is separation of church and state is a necessity for development, something which is being dragged out in the Middle East and neighbouring areas

Nationalism is force for good but of course it can be mis-used and or have unitended consequences. But for sure no society has or will go anywhere without a good dose of nationalism. It is the force that develops and evolves societies to higher level then clan, tribe, biraderi, ethnic group that most underdveloped or raw societies exist. To be sure the evolution from clan, tribe, biraderi, ethnic group to a national unity around a nation state is lined with fire, war, ferment but it is a neccessary evil to development.

Every Western or developed countries [like Turkey, Japan, South Korea etc] have passed this test of fire.

Sharia is mandatory in Islam, and the major Islamic empires ruled by it. We were at our peak under Sharia, and the fact that Syria is your idea of Sharia shows how stupid you really are.
