His analysis is correct. And yes, it is true the present government seems incompetent. But, if he thinks this is entirely because of change in government, he is deluded. The problem has been happening over decades. Pakistan imports and consumes a lot but does not produce enough to export. The equation of exporting textiles plus remittances to pay for imports needed for 220 million people is mathematically infeasible. It will remain so till Pakistan figures out something else to export or drastically cuts down on imports and live a simpler life.
