@QayPKKH

A great master piece giving world an insight on what is going on in Assam. I feel sorry for Bengali Muslims who are labeled as Bangladeshis by Indian govt and now facing the wrath of Indians as well as Assamese.

@kalu_miah @Al-zakir @eastwatch @idune @bongbang @UKBengali @DarkPrince @Skies @BDforever @MBI Munshi @asad71 @kobiraaz @Khalid Newazi @Other Bengali members...can you guys give more details on what is going on there? What are the impacts on Bangladesh? Is Bangladesh still facing threats from terrorist organizations which India and RAW trained in that region? Are Assamese separatist succeeding for their independent homeland?

All borders drawn by British made no sense in demographic terms. Also political measures taken by colonaliasts ignited conflict on tribal basis. This case is example of it.

Are these militias targeting Bengali's? If so, violence is unfortunate. But authorities should do better job as this rampage isn't ordinary crime we see. And any incitement should be dealt with.

As mentioned in the article, India trained these terrorists first to fight Pakistan(when Bangladesh was part of Pakistan) and then to fight Bangladesh(most likely to separate South East Bangladesh from Bangladesh). The Assamese seems unhappy about that because India used their land as terrorist breeding ground against China(due to Tibet and South Tibet) and Bangladesh(to separate Chittagong region). India also succeed in creating rift between Bengali Muslims and Assamese and today Indian Bengali Muslims are declared Bangladeshis and face wrath of Indians as well as Assamese.

Although Muslims are officially shown to be 35% of the population NGO sources claim this has reached 50% already. We in BD feel strongly for the Muslims and the Bengalis in Assam.ULFA, the lead FF organization of Assam does not profess any hatred for Bengalis or Muslims or BD. They understand the strategic convergence of all parties under the cross-hair of India. ULFA's leadership is matured. They understand very well that SHW/BAL are Indian plant and do not reflect the feelings/views of BD population.

There are 3 major Muslim groups in Assam.
1. Assamese tribal convert Muslims. They talk in Assamese.
2. Barak valley Muslims who talk in Bengali. This place was for Bangladesh but British handed over this area to India to give corridor Tripura.
2. Brahmaputra valley Muslims (Miya). Who migrated to Assam from British era to Pakistan time from East Bengal. They used to talk in Bengali. But due to fear of extremists these people around 10 million adopted Assamese as their language. They actually label these Miya Muslims as illegal.

Some articles to understand these people better.

UP, Bihar, WB and Assam Muslims are heavy in number.

during the events leading to 1971, why didnt Bengalis demand west bengal or these other areas?

The title is wrong - India is Assam and Assam is india. It's like coming up with titles like pakistan's ditry war is baluchistan or pakistan's dirty war inot fata or pakistan's dirty moves in gilgit baltistan etc..though, there's an element of truth in those titles.

As for the article - didn't read it because it's from pkkh.tv.

Lol

If muslims are 50% then where are the voices of these 50%? Where is the call for sharia and terrorist attacks - because that's what 50% muslim population would do..right?

The fact is all of them are illegal bangladeshi who are scared for their lives fearing the bodos. Time to send them back to pureland.

.
its good to see bangladeshis and pakistanis are lecturing on things which they/he have no freaking idea..

Yes I saw the article. It is very good indeed and explains Indian policy on the Seven Sisters and also Bangladesh but the motive for calling Muslims illegal immigrants is to expel them from the country and make India 100% Hindu.

If you recollect the total support of Indian Bengalis in W/bengal and Tripura had moved GOI/Indira to support us more than anything else. While other states were not happy to give space to our refugees, these two states had come forward wholeheartedly. There indeed was and still persists a hope in these states that Greater Bengal will emerge eventually.
