The crushing moment: China India 1962 war

Which ppl we freed ?

China over ran parts of NEFA ( now AP) and with drew only to claim them it now.

As rgds 62, in hindsight India was done a favour as it jolted the Politicians out of their complacency. Relevant lesson were learnt & the correctives were applied.

Events that happened 9 years later proved the fact that GOI & IA learnt well.

it's ok analyzing a war...we lost it and it was an embarrassing defeat.
A little humility does no harm.

You dear, really talked some sense.
Both nations are too busy for this childish game. People who have never realised potential of economy, would never understand.

Also in India, we are well aware and told that we were defeated. Clear cut thesis. Nothing like, we did not get defeated ot got stalemate or something else idiocy. Most of the criticism is done towards Nehru's policies rather than China.
Currently the situation is not like 1962. Nor both countries seem interested in any adventure. They are enjoying their new found status. After carefully examining the statements from both sides, they are doing their best to increase trust and cooperation and reduce misconceptions.

Its not question of defeat or win, its question of failure of military strategy. Being a Pakistan i see zillions of thread in Indian forum with nasty comments about 71 war and surrenders. We never ask them to stop posting or remove them. Yes, a General Niazi surrender was a humiliation for the nation, but its emotional point of view. No one can understand why General took this decision. His decision of surrender was right or wrong only military strategist can only tell, specially those who serve that war. So, let get back to the topic.

Yes, india lost is bcoz of bla bla bla., Typical loser logic.

:rofl::rofl: Hahaha Cant stop laughing. Bloody nose? What kind of bloody nose?:rofl:

Well - the Chola incident in '67 when China invaded Sikkim claiming that the McMahon line is illegal - it got a bloody nose. Twenty years later in '87 - China backed down at Sumdorong Chu Valley. Would have been two bloody noses - but the Chinese ran away.
