Our strategic position on the map may as well be something very cursed..

If US and Russia are having a problem - Pakistan will be in the Middle.
If Turkey and Russia are having a problem - Pakistan will be in the Middle.
If India and China are having a problem - Pakistan will be in the Middle.
If USA and China are having a problem - Pakistan will be in the Middle.
If Saudi and Iran are having a problem - Pakistan will be in the Middle.
If Afghanistan and Russian are having a problem - Pakistan will be in the Middle.

And at the same time we must keep good relations with all of the above!

Curse, or boon? It all depends on Pakistan itself.

And if anyone has a problem the US will be in the middle.

If its a curse or a blessing in disguise depends on our ability or lack of it to capitalize

Why does Pakistan allow itself to get sucked into others' disputes?

I am sorry, but where does Pakistan come into the scene in any of the above mentioned conflicts, apart from Afghanistan? The last time I heard Pakistan wanted to mediate talks between Iran and Saudi Arabia, but was booted out by both the parties.
I don't remember when was the last time Pakistan came in between Indo-China talks.
Similarly how is Pakistan affected with Russian, US/Turkey relations?

The only time Pakistan is mentioned in any world forum or summit, is when the issue of terrorism comes up. That's the only relevance Pakistan has in today's world.

In the same place your brain cannot reach..otherwise India will not be arching itself all over..!

And who's forcing Pakistan to get involved? Pakistan itself? Maybe. But Uncle Sam does too. Pakistan just follow the orders. Sometimes or perhaps most of the time.

Probably effects of being in one camp or the other, the US camp, part of the Russia China nexus, part of the ummah, and being a "brother" to turkey.

One can easily excuse oneself from big boy games to stay away from trouble.

The issue does. We can't isolate ourselves from the world especially the Islamic world. We have a very high populace of shia and we share borders will Iran and only a fool on its purity will think that any trouble in your neighbourhood ( ( like a war) doesn't effect you.

Then we have Afghanistan with whom we share the pashtun culture and a very large border which is very porous in nature.. Any mess over there comes here as well especially which we witnessed when Russia invaded Afghanistan...

Then we have the large border with India who is also hostile towards our other neighbor China which is a super power..

Our position also places us strategically close to the strait of Hormuz from where most of worlds oil comes from and we are very well in position to choke it which brings our importance when two super powers after world war 2 were looking for allies among south Asia.. We also hold the key to Chinese presence in the Indian ocean as wevare its friendly neighbor ...

So yes our position has given great importance but the question comes were we or even are we mature and cunning enough to use it to our advantage.. We have quite frankly been flying from one mess to the other due to helplessness of the situation and CPEC may be the first time we are using our strategic location to our advantage..

The beauty of strategic locations is that of becomes a boon of you use it right and a nightmare if you can't...

There is very little room for screw ups.

apparently Russia is ditiching us according to pakaffairs site that Russia has cancelled deal of mi35 and offers are stalled cause they were just for showoff and tease india to buy more well some kind of trick. If that is true than that means Pakistan will chose turkey or US if russia is to go against any of two.

The right questions should be
"Why should Pakistan be in the middle?" When none of the above will be in the middle if Pakistan is in trouble. Bottom line. Fend for yourself. Get away from any dispute which requires Pakistan to meddle in others problems.
