He made mistake and we can't pay for his foolishness.....He probably in Indian custody and may India demand Kulbhushan back in exchange....You want that?

he was a retired person and went to join a foreign security firm against a job advertisement offering good amount. It was his personal choice and then he was abducted from Nepal and lastly shared his photo from AirPort.

“The website that Habib was contacted from was found to be operated from India and was subsequently taken down. The Government of Nepal constituted a special team to look into his disappearance but there has not been any progress in the matter so far,” Dr Faisal added.

“Pakistan also repeatedly requested the Government of India to assist in locating Habib Zahir. However, no positive response has been received from the Indian side.

For the moment, it is the case of disappearance.

Solution: issue diplomatic demarche, requesting access to border towns, send investigation team to go across border between india and nepal. in case of no response send half of the india staff packing to india.

There is no case with them against Col Habib except the possibility of back door exchange which is not possible at all and it is already told to them. KJ is not going anywhere. What if Indians are now in a fix and can't declare him nor prove him otherwise? They might resort to vanish him.

You can only send a diplomatic staff when you have proof or evidence to do so. Currently, there is no solid information if he is in India.

Indeed he made a colossal mistake, but let's not abandon him, after all he is a citizen of this country. Gulbhushan case is different

Keeping security of info in view, i can only tell that he was abducted ofcourse, but the way it was done and the precedent it has now set, both have put Indian agencies in a fix. Warnings from our side have already gone out, when this incident happened, that if they want to adopt this way, then all their officers abroad (on courses, in embassies, and other covert/overt assignments) will be picked off as well.

Indians cowered down and are now willing to return the Colonel (without Kalbushan in exchange). But now they cant find a proper and respectful way to return him....

There are no move restrictions for move between Nepal and India.
