Islands belong to Vietnam from old time, we controlled peacefully long time ago. In the past we didn't have troubles with China. China is just changed his idea and claim it illegally, just recently.

WHEN china "controlled" the Islands but now you claim to "take back" them???

If china had controlled the islands, so why the chinese were silent for a long time since 15th century to early 20th century during Vietnam has controlled the islands ???

And all official maps of China before the years 193x never mentioned Paracels and Spratlys of Vietnam. Why then china claims the two Islands???

How would you explain a China map 1904 was published in 1904 under the Qing dynasty, the map admitted Spratlys and Paracels not Chinese territory???
