The brief history of Mariam Aurengzeb, the ex federal minister of information.
Her mother Tahira Ashraf was an LHW, who was employed as grade 8 worker in Holy Family Hospital. In 1990, she was sent to PM house to look after Mian Nawaz Sharif's mother for 2 months as a nurse.
There she caught Eye of Nawaz Sharif. A grade 8 worker was promoted to grade 17, unbelievably, as a reward, keeping in view that her education is simple middle.
Subsequently, she divorced her husband who was a grade 10 worker in Islamabad municipality to marry PML N worker Mr Aurangzeb to become Tahira Aurengzeb.
In next ten years she grew close to Sharif family as Nawaz Sharif's mother always preferred injectable treatments administered by her.
Her property from a rented one bedroom house grew to a palatial house on 6th Road, 3 kanal bungalow, and two markets of estimated worth of 80 crores and an apartment building in abpara market worth 18 crores.
In 2001, she joined Musharaf camp and denounced Nawaz Sharif as a traitor. The evidence is tv interviews in which she is defending Musharaf and calling Nawaz Sharif a corrupt politician.
In 2008, she rejoined Sharifs after rendering a written apology to Nawaz Sharif and asking for forgiveness.
Nawaz Sharif's mother forgave her and she was made a senator on one condition that she will never betray Nawaz Sharif again and a written affidavit was given by Tahira Aurengzeb.
In 2013, as she was not a graduate, again Nawaz Sharif's mother asked Nawaz Sharif to give her daughter Maryam, from Tahira's first marriage, a seat in senate.
Now, present situation is that Miss Tahira Aurengzeb, a middle class education standard Law, who didn't have a house in 1990, is a property giant of Rawalpindi. Her property is estimated at 150 crores.
So, when Maryam Aurangzeb defends Sharif family then she is actually doing her farz as Sharif family has made them what they are today.
How can people like Maryam and her mother be expected to be loyal to the country and not corrupt when they are fruits of corruption and dishonesty.
