The boy who ‘molested’ the girl rescued by Atif Aslam comes forward, reveals he is the actual victim

If gender segregation is essentially Islamic, then why there are no such barriers in between men and women, or separate areas for them in Masjid al-Haram/Kaaba; the Islam's holiest site ??

Because that's a holy site, genius. You don't live there. It has its own parameters and regulations.

For example, women don't cover their hairs in kaaba as well. Does that mean Hijab is not part of Islam?

This is literally the dumbest reasoning i have ever heard. Mobile phones are not allowed in Mosques...does that mean Muslims are not allowed to use cell phones? And they are haram?

There are general instruction for life and then there are specific instructions for visiting a certain holy place or performing certain ritual. You are old enough to know all this.

Stop being ridiculous

Islam doesn't make the practice of Islam impossible for Muslims.

The point of hajj is making hajj, not to ogle at the opposite gender. I would imagine the humbling experience at walking around the Holy Kaaba would be paramount.

The segregation is taken care of by the Mahram who accompanies.

Not a holy site, the holiest site .... And that exactly is my question/point ... Religious instructions are to be followed most strictly when visiting Holy sites .... Had Islam ordained gender segregation, holy sites would have been the first place to implement it ... Dumb Reasoning ? I don't think so

Haram is not made Halal under any circumstances (except for saving/rescuing human life). However there are specific instructions to avoid (otherwise) Halal under some specific circumstances .. (e.g. fasting) ...

As for women not covering their hairs in Kaaba, I don't know what you are talking about ... elaborate please

What I know of Atif from his band members, I doubt he will apologise ...

Lesson for this lad and his friends ... let such scumbags pass next time and don't intervene in anyway when they start fighting amongst themselves - forget any crowd control measures for idiots like Atif

-The story teaches us that taking things on face value without completely investigating the truth can have some serious ramifications. I mean I've heard some stories that circulate in localities about women who request a lift from men in cars and then threaten to scream and shout rape, if these guys don't give up their cash, mobile and other valuables.

-Secondly, intervening and stopping abuse is one thing which I do support given a specific situation. However, a mob beating the living hell out of a person based on an accusation, or a simple case of misinterpretation can have dire consequences. In the west you have many reports of women falsifying domestic violence, even falsely claiming that someone raped them.A year ago, I saw a report by times of India which cited some study, claiming that almost 50% of the reported rape cases are false claims in India. The fact is women have such unmitigated power where a word out of her mouth can destroy a person's life simply because of his gender.

-While many mocked and continue to mock the idea of a bill that protects men, I think it is now more clear that a bill like that might be needed. Just look up incidents in the last few months from, women cutting off her husbands legs, to a woman allegedly hiring hit-men to teach her husband a lesson because she suspected him of cheating on her, and now this. The first logical step is to severely penalize false accusations ... and if someone is wrongfully imprisoned or otherwise harmed due to some false accusation, they should face severe consequences, because not only did they try to unjustly hurt that one person, but they also used the state and it's resources in their vendetta to do so.

@SMC @Moonlight @Spring Onion ... Your opinions on the matter would be appreciated.

Actually we need to look into the role of all players in this incident. Of these one is the Media specially few popular media groups with online websites of their English newspapers . these often exaggerate things specially realted to gender often penned by immature unpaid bolggers. Blogs often are personal views and in such cases based mostly on emotions. if this boy is telling the truth then I personally feel that Atif Aslam might had reacted in haste or out of fear of some untoward incident because if you remember three girls died in on of his concerts in 2012. (plz correct if i mentioned wrong year).
Now as for girls attending such Music concerts well sorry to say they most of the times are the ones who get out of control. Many of them try to reach to their Idol on stage. Such crowded concerts in Pakistan creat such scenes.
Lastly I am in no way support any kind of harassment of women here .i am just stating few observations.

Actually it is well known that women must not wear Burqa/Niqaab, a simple Google search would suffice if u want to find out for urself. It is as Thǝorǝtic Muslim said, the point of Hajj is to perform Hajj and not ogle at the opposite gender. Out of all the places that is where a person should be the best Muslim that he/she can be physically and mentally.

.
Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't he as a security personal be having any identification visible to all public?

If that was the case where was his security uniform and badge?

All security personal must be wearing those stuff, it's common protocol...so he himself is to be blamed.

They mostly have a card .

I think this guy is right . i saw the girls in concerts . specially those wanna be burgers . bina pass k front row mey ghus janey wali.

Women not covering face/wearing Burqa during Haj and women not covering their hairs in Kaaba is not the same thing ... Is it ?

And face covering/wearing Burqa is not mandatory in Islam anyways ... What is your point ?

plz do not make it a religious debate because if we go by that then this naach gana is not at all allowed hence burqa or no burqa it does not matter.

Read Post#14

There are a few US based Right-Wing religious extremists here on PDF who try to turn every other thread into a liberal-bashing thread even when (liberals or) liberalism has nothing to do with it ... Please report them to the PDF management

In Holy Kaba women are not allowed to go alone but some one to whom they cannot marry .Also it is a place where one cannot even think of any such act and their is severe punishment if some one does any such act.

There is no evidence from the Holy Quran (or even Sahih Hadith) to support the claim that Islam ordains gender segregation.

Naqab is not wear by woman during Haj.This is because there are large number of women in Haram Sharif and due to Naqab it is not possible for a person to find his wife if they are at distance. Also consider the fact that food is allowed to a person but the same food is not allowed during fasting. So in Islam an act which is allowed in certain cases donot mean that it is allowed in all circumstanes

In Holy Quran women are told to remain in their homes

The verses of Holy Quran you are referring to are addressed specifically to the wives of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and not to other women ..

" (32)O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women. If you keep you have Taqwa, then be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease should be moved with desire, but speak in an honorable manner. (33). And stay in your houses, and do not Tabarruj yourselves like the Tabarruj of the times of ignorance, ...... " (33:32-33)
