The biggest island on the South China Sea

. .
Islands in the South China Sea.

On topic: China's islands will keep growing to be able to support all military and civilian requirements to ensure regional peace, stability and development.

That's China's public good.

SCS is East Sea òf Vietnam (Bien Dong in Vietnamese), in East China sea there is Taiwan, the biggest Island related to China..

. . . . .
Is China done with constructions in the SCS? I sure hope not. There's still tons of potential for improvement + security expansion.

The development projects continue in phases. I guess @ahojunk has a broader knowledge on the status of the island reclamation program.

@TaiShang

I am no expert. What I know is based on what I have read.

IMHO, China has temporarily halted reclamation in the Spratly (Nansha) Islands. China's focus is on building up the Nansha Islands for public good that will allow ships to “take shelter” from typhoons and other inclement weather, as well as providing “navigation aid, search and rescue … [and] fishery service and administration” to ships from China and its neighbors in the region.

With the spare capacity, I expect China will now focus on the reclamation of the Xisha (Paracel) Islands.

Let's wait and see. This is not a knee jerk reaction as I believe that China has a grand strategy for the entire SCS and China felt that now is the right time to execute its plan.
