The Biggest Fountain in South Asia Unveiled at Bahria Town, Karachi

I am saying if you want a university why dont you move your hands or legs? Why you expect Bahria Town to do everything for you ?

I want a univ? I want it for the people of Pak not myself, i graduated long ago.

An educational institution is much better than a fountain.

As for moving hands and legs, thanks for the advice, but i dont like bragging. My family constructed a school in our village, we also helped build a "dispensary".

Water and power is right of every citizen, its responsibility of Govt, you cannot deny it to Bahria Town, these are also residents of Karachi who have relocated from Karachi for a better life.

when did i deny to supply the electricity or water to bahria Town? i was talking about compulsion of rest of karachiites and expensive electricity for karachi. yes it is Govt responsibility to not allow anyone to use the water and electricity projects that are earmarked for rest of Karachi, Govt should produce water and electricity for bahria. otherwise it is injustice that rest of karachi is helpless to pay the bill of water without having water connection.

Doesn't look like that Pakistan is suffering from the scarcity of water and electricity.. may be enemies spread those rumours.

this could be any water, even the khara pani pumped form a well

Karachi's problems are exacerbated by us the Karachites, we dont want to pay electric bill and lov to use KUNDAs for BIJLI, we throw our garbage in the street, we seel the water which was supposed to be free, and we select BAS--RDS like MQM and PPP to rule us and then we blame bahria town for our miseries.

Malik Riaz is better than those ras--la whom u have selected as leaders, some times i feel we Karachites deserved what we got for supporting MQN and PPP

i have been to bahria town karachi about 2 years ago, The water and electricity projects earmarked for Karachi are being redirected to gated communities like the under-construction Bahria Town, and DHA City. i realized that any project required electricity and water but the point is rest of people in Karachi are suffering and helpless to pay the expensive Karachi Electric and water bills without having electric and water. Most of society, buildings and houses dont have even water Line connection but still they are helpless to pay the water bills. on that time 15 rupees were charged for per unit, dont know how much is being charged now (expansive electricity in the region) i felt that in future only elite class can survive in Karachi. i also felt that how 75% revenue is being charged from karachi. even people are hand to mouth with 50 thousand income in Karachi.

Bahria town Karachi is building coal&gas power plants of 500MW.

Bahria town provide 24/7 electricity and water, I don't think they could get that without building their own power plants.

Everything remains good for the elite.even it can happen in the desert if they like.money does wonders for people havinng it abundantly.

It's a private investment and development... he could have just stashed the loot in a Swiss account like many Pak elites do... but he chose to invest.
The guy's smart. By understanding that there are many expatriate and local Pakistanis that require better lifestyles, he opted to engage the opportunity with an accessible product. I can't speak to how many (as a %) middle class Pakistanis are moving into Bahria Town, but he's getting traction in real numbers at least.

It will be interesting to see how he adjusts to the technology trends, such as construction 3D printing, and if he'll try to pair such innovations with local labour and material costs. If he's aiming towards the upper middle-class and middle-class core today, he could potentially create homes for low-income owners. He could even create rural proto-towns. It's a real shame; if I was in charge, I would've drawn a thorough public revitalization program with him and other real-estate investors.
