They just woke up on a random day and decided to take ISIS out LOL They have been watching all this time as a spectator whilst ISIS took over entire cities and oil fields in various countries. Who are these people fooling? ISIS cannot be taken out anymore. It has grown beyond control. It has become so strong that entire regions are under its control. The Americans with all their might and power are having to play a cat and mouse game to gain entry into the key city of Mosul LOL I am not buying the bogus human shield argument because ISIS has been there for years now. ISIS might be temporarily driven out or relocate themselves and start all over again. The Americans are stuck with ISIS for a very very long time to come. You reap what you sow. It is the bitter truth. Iraq operation failed and this is the gift the world got in return. To make matters worse, this is just one city. There are many countries in the world that are today infiltrated by ISIS. Horrible situation. These are the fruits of arrogance.

Really don't think that foreign Islamist are queueing to salvage the wreck.
As they lose control, funding will dry up.
They will have to revert to an insurgency, since a self-sustaining Caliphat is no longer viable.

That might be a good story for local consumption, but the truth is very far from the rosy picture you try to paint. Had ISIS been such an easy foe it would have been finished off long ago. You can never explain to me how ISIS is able to wipe out entire armies and regimes in cities and countries without much resistance. ISIS has the backing of strong world powers and they will be fed and controlled to bleed the Americans dry in the Middle East. This is not about ISIS anymore. This has become very complex. This is about keeping the Americans occupied and why shouldn't its foes take advantage of the situation? This is about settling old scores. I call it Cold War reloaded. The irony is that the US created the mess initially and others are now simply returning the favor. ISIS is a Frankenstein monster created by the Americans and it won't die that easily. No amount of operations and air strikes can take these monsters out. It is because they are monsters and they have proven it over the years. They are so cunning, smart and adaptive that the US generals and their coalition on the ground are dumbstruck.

You say ISIS is shrinking. I say it is growing. The proof is all around you. Just look at the Middle East and beyond. Also, AQ once seized to exist. Today they have taken another form. Don't be too sure about your claims. These groups have become too powerful and are beyond total destruction. They have the help of strong world powers.

That recruitment base is more or less gone.
Attacks in the West are made by lone wolf losers.
Without an organisation they can only make minor damage.
