^^^ That is obvious from all the posts here itself.
So who controls the army? Legally? Not Zardari? Who takes the political decisions on army deployment and engagement? Or does pakistan run as below:
Army - Calls all the shots related to the nation's defense (internal more than external), rule unto itself
ISI - Calls all the shots related to the destruction/destabilisation of India
Democratic Government - Fall guys for the Army's return to power, who are supposed to utilise their time in the interim as the poster boys in drumming up sponsorship from democratic USA
Police/Paramilitary - We never really hear of them out here
Judiciary - Same as the above (except for Hindu judge and Judge sackings and street public protests)
Oh to be a Pakistani common man ......
Cheers, Doc
this my friend is the PICTURE YOUR MEDIA PORTRAYS!
however, everyone in Pakistan is answerable to the head of state! and hence the question of ZARDARI still being our president! If it was the army running the show do you honestly think COAS would like to salute a man known as MR.10%
secondly if the ISI was involved in "destabilizing" INDIA...why wasn't india able to put any dirt on the ISI in december last year when the world was all ears!! besides ISI is under the army and the army is under the head of state!
police/paramilitary well it is more or less the same in india....where police which is actually the hardest working branch of civil security is ridiculed the most!
and democratic government same faces have reappeared for the last 2 decades and it has all been downhill...under the sharif's and bhuttos!
