Can you elaborate? Isn't all of the body manufactured in HIT? We understand the electronic control systems, engine, and active protection isn't made locally.

Please read the caption (in Urdu) More appropriate would be to say a major step towards self reliance. We are not making the engines, as of now,...a key component but I hope in future we will be able to make them indigenously. It is always good to be realistic and work towards the goal...hustle (as my bro @Bilal Khan (Quwa) says).
Sir, nobody will be happier than me when we achieve that goal. If you follow my posts on the forum, you will find me the staunch advocate of indigenisation.

Somehow, since I know the reality, I have conditioned myself to interpret these statements for what they represent. But now that you point it out, I can see how an ordinary Pakistani might interpret it.

Fire ctntrol/ gun control system, ecs, battle management, day aND night sights (excluding thermal imager) armament stabilizers are made in house. Asrf is responsible for all electronic components.

Bhutto's nationalisation was a disastrous policy. He did not do much of home work and implemented it out of emotions.
